I have looking for a reclining couch for along time and I found this Ashley sofa for an incredible price on Amazon with FREE STANDARD SHIPPING!!!! It arrived in less than a week and a day earlier than expected. Amazon delivery was flawless. The only assembly is like a recliner- you DO have to slide all 3 backs on(steel sliding into steel) Well made heavy duty wood frame all around . The recline foot rest is slow motion you just pull the lever and rises slowly- which is perfect and very little effort to retract. The foot rest fully up or down- no locking in between. This is a body hugging couch that supports the your body from head to toe. Cushioning is firm but supportive- most comfortable couch ever. Amazon cured the one reason I won’t shop from Ashley because it was delivered in less than a week not months or years! I have arthritic issues and I cannot stress enough that it offers full support where you need it most. This is a high sitting couch and for the first time I don’t feel like I am getting off the floor- my feet don’t touch the ground at 5’7 but I am used to it and I really like the cushy foot rest. Foot, arm and head rest are as supportive as the body of couch. This is by far my best purchase bearing the furniture label. I would wholeheartedly recommend this couch! ... show more

    • Don't trust delivery companies. Make sure all items are being checked when received.

I love the chair, it's comfortable. I was not happy with the delivery company. However the chair sat in Butte Montana for about week. We could not contact the company in Butte MT wasn't aloud the information for contacting. When we finally received the chair, the box had a huge hole and was shredded on one side. We opened the box the rest of the way to check the chair out and the chair was fine thank gosh. Watch the delivery companies that are being used. ... show more

The sofa is great, the delivery company however....horrible. It showed up 2 days early which is great, but they literally dumped the love seat upside down in the snow. Thankfully Amazon customer service took care of it.

If you’re 70 years old with a bad back, this chair is not for you. It rocks great and comfortable to sit in but I like to use the foot rest. The problem here is that as soon as you pull to raise it up, it pops up rather forcefully and for me, it was a son of a bitch to push back down and I had to do it a number of times because it just wouldn’t lock and it would pop itself back up.
