I like the lamps very much. They were packed very well. No shipping damage. The cons: The description said the lamp shade was bright white. It is not - it’s more ivory linen like. The lamps are very light, not bottom weighted, so they can be overturned somewhat easily. The lamps rock easily - You may need to add a felt bottom. We have not. This may sound like we don’t like the lamps! But we do. A good purchase. ... show more

    • Not Stable, Cheaply Made
Got this for my mother, and it was so cheap. The base was so light that if you brushed past it (like to grab a remote) it wobbled. Not heavy enough for the height, and the dial to turn it on and off was incredibly cheap. We had to try and finagle it with one of those felt balance discs bc it wouldn’t sit flush on the table, and you shouldn’t have to do that on a brand new lamp. Looks pretty enough, but not worth the janky construction. Sent it back. ... show more

I agree with other reviewers who said the quality of these lamps is not that great. They are very light-weight and I do worry they will be knocked over by kids. I ordered 2 for my boys’ rooms and the colors go with my decor. I was concerned about the gold being too much but it actually goes nicely in the rooms with the blue and tan colors I have. Jonathan Y lamps purchased on Amazon for my other rooms are a much better quality and heavier duty. **UPDATE: I purchased these lamps on Amazon resale and I think I got the damaged lamp from the Nov. 4 reviewer. Within 2 days of turning the lamp on and off maybe 3 times, the switch was broken on one lamp. Sending them back. ... show more
