Have had this lock for over a month now, works great! Easy to install and app makes it easy to customize settings. I set it to lock 20 seconds after the door is shut. No one in my house could ever remember to lock the door, and now we don’t have to worry! Also nice to walk dog and not have to have key. There are a lot of different options for passcodes for different people you can set up too. To use it with wifi you have to buy additional equipment but I don’t haven’t needed it, just nice to feel more secure and be able to get in without key. Looks fancy too. ... show more

I bought this lock to replace two others I was not satisfied with. I thought perhaps I was doing something wrong until I installed this one and had zero problems. Easy to install, solid, and looks sharp. Plus it’s definitely good quality for the low price. Like most men I didn’t watch the instruction video fully and needed to contact customer service to explain to me how to switch between a right handed door and a left handed door, and they responded to me within minutes. Simple flip of a switch. The only thing I was hesitant about at first is it doesn’t seem you can program codes without using the application on your phone, but after I saw how easy the app was it wasn’t a big deal to me. I looked for a decent smart lock that can have several options to open such as open with an app, open with a touch keypad, open with a key fob, and opens with a regular key. This smart lock had lots of great features which is nice and convenient for an apartment renter. It is easy to install and easy to setup the app. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the opening with a key fob can be glitchy and the smart lock did not come with a "gateway" device (which would allow it to give access to more great features like real time alerts for accessing the smart lock. I think for the size of the smart lock and price, the gateway device should have been included with the purchase or given a discount and avaialble to be added for a little more but it was an extra $50 and that didn't seem worth it. Overall, for simple access to your home, condo, or apartment, it is a great smart lock and besides it be slightly glitchy with the key fobs, it is nice to get quick access to your home when you need it. I would recommend it for a a condo or apartment. It responds well and the touch screen is bright enough to see the keypad. It's like having a digital combination on a door instead of a safe. it is durable and dependable. I give it a 4 out of 5 starts due to the gateway device that is needed to access more features but is still very functional without it as well. ... show more

    • Simple and easy to install lock
I bought this lock to use on a second home that is located a few hours from my residence. It has some great features that are very helpful, including the ability to set a temporary passcode that I have provided to home improvement contractors. This gives them the ability to access the home when I am not there, and the temporary code expires based on my settings so that it cannot be reused in the future. In addition, with the separate purchase of the Gateway I am able to remotely set these passcodes and also remotely lock and unlock the deadbolt as needed. This gives me peace of mind to know that the lock is always properly secured and also to know the time and user who has accessed the lock. It was quite easy to install, although I did have some issues with the lock sitting properly in the latch. After a bit of work to grind down the latch area, the lock now slides in and out quite easily. I would definitely recommend this lock for the features as well as the reasonable price. ... show more

    • Update: lock bounces back, cannot fully lock from inside until reset.
The media could not be loaded. It took me TWO to three hours to install. If you have solid metal mesh like door, with pre drilled holes for the deadbolt, it may not fit. Issues: 1. Besides not fitting in and making adjustments, I realized that the mounting plate goes BETWEEN the silicon gasket & the inside locking piece. - very little written instructions 2. The screws that hold onto the front piece were bad quality, it not only got shredded, but it also got stuck on the screws it was suppose to mount to & was not able to sit flush when I put the mounting plate on it, it was really loose. - I ended up unscrewing the whole thing (the female portion of the screws that came attached to it) & I reused some old ones that were long & it fit! 3. The opening/closing mechanism is so LOUD. I have an amazon basics one & that one seems to run smoother & definitely feels higher quality than the Sifely. 4. The screen isn’t super responsive, so you do have to touch around. Things I like: 1. Came with two fob keys, worked (but only tried it for a day) 2. Seems to open the deadbolt faster than the Amazon basics one. 3. Has an app, so you can use Bluetooth to lock/unlock from your room. 4. Fits on metal doors that is slightly convex around the handle area. Update: besides all these points, the machine isn't super sensitive to your touch, so sometimes it does take a few presses for it to notice that you pressed it. When I do remote unlocking/locking it needs to be in a direct line of sight probably ~10-15 feet away. The keys are convenient and respond instantly. Update: 5 months later this lock is not very good. It started locking funny about 3 months in.. meaning occasionally it would do this thing where the lock would not lock all the way (attached video) and would have to be reset. But now it’s been happening every day. I’m not sure what’s going on with it but it’s tedious to deal with to reset from the outside (pressing the lock button) every other time I lock the door. But this only happens from the locking it from the inside through the knob. Locking it from outside with the lock button works fine. ... show more
