Description

The rugged and durable SM31FH is a cardioid condenser microphone constructed with hydrophobic materials that make it ideal for true performance in fitness instruction applications. The moisture-repellent cartridge housing ensures a long product life by protecting the microphone from the corrosion damage that causes typical fitness instruction headsets to fail. Available in bundled BLX wireless systems, the SM31FH features TA4F 4-pin (TQG) connectors that make it a viable replacement for any Shure wireless headset system.

    • Works surprisingly well for its price
This Mike sounded surprisingly well for its price point. The cardio pattern helps if you’re moving around a lot and you’re anywhere near your speakers. Some people said the cord was too short but they must have really long torsos. It worked fine for me with even some extra cable stashed in my pocket. Some reported it breaking in a critical area. I haven’t Owned it long enough to determine if it’s really fragile point. But I do tend to take extra care of my equipment, especially microphones. Only time will tell if the wiring goes intermittent at its connectors. Overall this was a good goodbye and I’d buy it again. ... show more

Im a GX Instructor for about 10 years now and I've been looking for a nice mic for quite awhile now since covid hit - I just want to have my own instead. Ive purchased a couple mics here and there but none of them really 'works' BUT .. This one right here!!! FINALLY!!! The search is over! I am so happy with this and im glad I found it. It works really good, quality of the sound is good - my students can hear me Loud and Clear. The product is very light, it fits good around my neck. It's a little pricey ... but its ok.     • Great live, weak for recordings
We have a dance and fitness studio and use this and the other gray model as well. They work great in live classes. The only downfall with these is it sounds slightly muffled when we record through our mixer speaker system on GarageBand. We may have to upgrade to a more expensive model as we develop our online recordings. ... show more

    • Its great... for about 1 month.
I am beyond disappointed in this product. I have bought about 5 in the past 2 years. All works fine for about a month or two and then either the mic or bodypack will all of a sudden either 1) stop working 2) make horrible scratchy noises or 3) make no sound. They say it's for fitness - and its design is great. But we maybe use it for 2-4 hours a day MAX for fitness classes, put it ina belt, even unplug it to air it out, take great care of it, replace batteries... and it dies. RESEARCH ANOTHER ITEM before investing in this set! I haven't boughten a new entire system because I bought this whole system (3 piece set) and didn't want to invest in something else, I figured this was a 1-2 time fluke. But now i'm on about number 6... in 2 years... ... show more

I purchased this headset to use with the system at the gym to instruct a spin class. I got this set because I knew it would work with the set up. Before purchasing, make sure the system being used will be compatible with this headset. Since the gym already has the set up, I can just connect to the battery pack they have. There is a wire, but it connects to the battery pack which attaches to your clothing. I have to tuck the wire down my shirt so it doesn’t get caught on the handlebars of the spin bike. Without tucking the wire, I have had a few embarrassing moments where the wire has caught on the handlebars. To clarify, it is wireless as you you’re not connected to the system. But you’re connected to the battery pack which you connect to your clothing. You can walk around freely and move freely. It even worked when one of the instructors went outside and forgot to turn off the battery pack, she was away and outside of the building and the sound still was heard without any issues. There is a little foam piece that connects to the mouthpiece to help you not sound so winded. I can hear myself breathing but it doesn’t come through the speakers. It fits my head only if I have my hair tied a certain way, I think I have a small head because the other instructors who have the same headset don’t seem to have any issue no matter which way they style their hair. I sweat a lot while instructing and the sweat has not had any problem with the sound, I do take the foam piece off after each use to let it dry.
