I bought this case for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max because Otterbox says it’s supposed to fit. Well, it barely fits, and the fit is incredibly tight-I had to go back and check the description to confirmm Otterbox claims it will fit the 12 Pro Max.. I am not a stranger to Otterbox cases and all have comfortably fit my devices. Not this case. I stretched, maneuvered and cursed this thing for fifteen minutes trying to figure angle to get this thing on without damaging the phone. I finally got it on and it’s a very, very tight fit. The phone does not comfortably nest in the case, and I’m not sure I’d ever get the case back on if I took it off. I’m keeping this ill-fitting junk long enough to get a clear Apple case, and then I’m throwing it away. Returns to Amazon are just too bureaucratic to tolerate. My suggestion would be, DO NOT BUY THIS for an iPhone 12 Pro Max. A secure fit is one thing and too damn small and tight is another. Just too small and nearly completely unusable. Additional warning: tried this on my wife’s smaller iPhone 11 Pro Max with rounded edges. Fit perfectly. Should tell you a lot, and that Otterbox did not have an actual iPhone 12 Pro Max to try this on. I think Otterbox blew it here, big time. Would be a good case for the 11, but not the 12 Pro Max. Final edit: for comparison, I ordered the genuine Apple MagSafe Clear Case (same price). It fit perfectly, securely and without struggle. I sent this Otterbox back. If you have the iPhone 12 Pro Max, I suggest you don’t get this case, but rather something where they actually had a real phone to design and fit it too. As a kudo to Amazon, with their new return process there was no hassle. I took it back to the UPS Store, handed them the case and they scanned my return code on my phone-that was it. This case was advertised as a case for IPhone 12 pro max. Big lie. Cracked my brand new phone trying to fit it in this clear case, thinking that it will fit. It does not fit. This was made same dimension as iPhone 11 max. But 12 pro max has different edges. Disappointed that manufacturer false advertising. IPhone 12 Pro Max was just delivered yesterday, so the prior reviewers didn’t even have their phones yet to try it out. I got my phone yesterday on the first day of availability. This case fits very snuggly. You have to work at it to get it in place. But once you do, it is like part of the phone. I had the Symmetry Clear Case on my iPhone XS Max and this fits just like that one did. It offers very good protection and a good grip without being bulky. It will come to you looking bent. Initially when I received the case I questioned whether it was original or not but did my research and it is. I tried it on my 11pro max and the case is a bit larger so I have no qualms that it will definitely fit the 12pro max when I receive it. What I absolutely love bout the case is it’s artistic design and I really was expecting to receive a case with splashes of gold but you could not imagine my exhilaration when I opened the box and the gold was not paint but had a glitter consistency! Coupled with the matted patches and contrasting tones, the aesthetics are perfect. With respect to durability and protectiveness, the case is admittedly thin but firm. The rear camera cutout has a nice raised bezel but I cannot judge screen protection until the phone is inserted. Will see how it holds up with the phone and update at a later time. ... show more

I bought a 12 max Pro and this is the case that supposed to fit. It doesn’t say 12 max pro on the box it says for iPhone 2020 Large. I can’t fit my phone it it. I have used symmetry cases in the past without any issues but this is not working. Returning the case. Very disappointed. I question the validity of this being otterbox. Case is way to big and not even properly labeled on the box. My Samsung galaxy s10+ is even way to small to fit this case. Definitely returning. This will not fit the iPhone 12 pro

This case did NOT FIT my iPhone 12 pro max. It said the right model name on the box but was a few cm too small for the phone and impossible to get on. Also, during the application process, the resistance from the rubber sides was so tight it permanently smudged the phone’s stainless steel edges and pulled off flecks of color. I would attach a picture but I don’t have a camera to take a photo of my phone. I am so disappointed it ruined my new phone’s pretty bezels.
