    • Great for Teams/Zoom calls
Color: Black Style: New Packaging
Review Image by Christina
I spend most of my day on Teams audio calls and I was finding that wearing headphones all day was fatiguing. The mic from my laptop and the mic from my external camera all caused echo issues for others on the calls. This mic solved the echo issues and improved my audio (according to others) As you can see in the image, I have this connected to my computer via USB and audio out connected to an external audio amp and speakers. The speakers are inches behind the microphone and, because of the unidirectional (cardioid) microphone pick-up pattern, the audio that the microphone does pick up is able to be effectively cancelled by the MS Teams and Zoom echo cancellation. I do have the "Speech" mode enabled on the mic and that does help the output audio; see Shure documentation for more info pubs.shure.com/guide/MV5C/en-US. ... show more

    • Quality retro looking mic
Color: Gray with Black Foam Style: New Packaging
A decent mic I used for recording voiceover for videos I make. I like the look of the microphone too. Has kind of a retro look to it.

    • Great mic for the cost.

Great usb mic. It’s my go to mic for voice over recordings.

    • Good mic with some weird choices
Color: Gray with Black Foam Style: New Packaging
It's a decent mic. Works with my laptop and my iPad. It sounds good. The build quality feels cheap. The mic stand is awkward to use and the mic uses a 1/4 20 thread so it needs an an adapter to work with standard audio mic stands and that is not included. I'm not sure it is a mic I would want to use for gaming. It feels more like something to use while traveling for traveling and doing video conferencing. ... show more

    • Superb microphone for Zoom calls
Color: Gray with Black Foam Style: New Packaging
Maybe not very expensive-feeling on the outside, but superb audio capabilities. Even when placed 60 cm (24") away, it picks up one's voice very well -- but the sound is better when placed about 30 cm (12") away. Be a bit alert when it's placed near you -- it's a bit tippy on a small three-legged tripod. ... show more

    • Great product, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Color: Gray with Black Foam Style: New Packaging
What can I say? When's the last time you bought a great product, had a small glitch, and then had customer service walk you through the fixes and stay on the line until you were satisfied. Shure is fantastic. Installation was a breeze (plug and play) but my voice was damped a bit (sort of a smokers throaty voice) to my listeners. Called Shure, talked with a real person who knew what the problem was, walked me through the fix, and then stayed on the line to help test the fix to make sure that it worked. Wow! Oh, and the mic works great as a desk mic for zooming, etc. Omnidirectional so I can move around. And it looks cool also. ... show more

    • Not impressed with the sound quality at all.
Color: Black Style: New Packaging
The MV5C was easy to set-up like every review I read had said, and it was immediately recognized by my work computer and in TEAMS. I was hoping this to be replacement, but after I got everything set-up my and tested this in TEAMS with my colleague said they could not really tell a difference, maybe slightly better. I tested this on my personal computer afterwards, and I have agree with them. This is actually a downgrade from my headset I was using, and on my laptop the audio only sounds slightly better. I think this might have been good four years ago when it released, but there have been a lot of improvements audio in the last four years with WFH and streaming/podcast culture taking off. I can't recommend this unless your using an older computer or cheaper headset, because you can do better with what is out there today. I will say it is really easy to use, and I was actually impressed it didn't pick up key strokes and does a good job of mitigating outside noises. ... show more

    • Excellent sound
Color: Gray with Black Foam Style: New Packaging
I bought this to record songs with acoustic guitar. It .. is … nice!! If you’re just a beginner with recording things and you don’t want to go the huge expense of professional mics and apps and all that stuff.. this is really perfect. You can plug it into your iPhone.. it immediately connects. The sound is awesome and it has 3 modes.. so you can go through and pic which sound you’d like. It really brings up guitar and voice.. it quiets everything else and I love that. I’m really happy with this purchase! ... show more
