It works! I occasionally ride with white sneakers, and noticed right away that the rubber piece of my shifter was leaving a pretty obvious mark. For that matter, it was leaving a smudge on my Danner boots too! Can’t have that! So the clever person who is marketing this had a great idea, and I’m glad they did. Of course it is simply heavy, clear heat shrink tubing, but that doesn’t take away from the innovation. No worries about it coming off easily , it shrinks to fit. I just got a new motorcycle and it didn't take too long before I realized that my white Nike's won't stay white. I never had this issue with a used motorcycle but the new black rubber works like a big fat sharpie. The shrinkable plastic for the gear shifter is a great solution for this small problem. I used actually a propane torch but you have to be very very careful to not overheat it, otherwise it'll split open. If you cut exact length and then go over/under it with a few very careful strokes, it'll shrink very evenly and it will fit like a glove around the gear shifter. I figure it can do around 8 motorcycles and even up to 10 if the shifters are a bit smaller. Awesome product! ... show more
