I had a perfect Tao Tao 50cc a year or so ago. Trim was not perfect. BUT the Maui from X-Pro has differences that make it WAY easier to put together. It might take two people to put the front wheel on BUT if you turn the handlebars a bit to the side, the fork will snap in over the wheel like a pro! That is the hard part. The owner's manual is weak. Look up GY6 scooter repair manual online. It is free and covers any 50cc Chinese scooter. MUCH BETTER THAN THE MANUAL that this company sends. They really need an upgrade on the manual. Before you think something does not work, look up the instructions on You Tube. The instructions can be tricky and one needs patience but these guys are as helpful as possible. Their shipping to northern Maine was EXCELLENT. They will work to please you BUT are not mechanics. You will need more instructions than they supply. You will need a friend that knows something or the patience to look up everything you question online. Outside of the fact they do not know the mechanics of this scooter, THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT COMPANY TO WORK WITH. Do it on Amazon Prime for complete delivery coverage and any broken stuff. The scooter company will replace parts but Prime will refund your money if you need a repair person. Prime covers delivery damage too--anything within a month. It came all assembled except for the trunk box and the battery needed to be unwrapped of a little plastic and connected. With a magnetic flathead screwdriver holding the nut while installing the screws to the contacts was only a little tedious. After that, adding full synthetic Pensoil, a little gas I had it started up only after 3 trys after the 10 Kickstart recommended application. It starts on the 1st try every time afterward! I definitely recommend this neat sweet little ride to any wanting to save a few bucks on transportation and have fun at the same time. P. S. Original review: Runs great. I’m 175 and hit about 30-35mph which is fine for me. Just a heads up doesn’t set off traffic lights. Not sure any moped does. Assembly is fairly easy just tedious. The third party delivery guy was a douche. So expect that. But moped is fine otherwise. Oh… and when you test your lights.. the headlight only comes on when it’s on. Update: many parts have broke on this moped and I haven’t even hit 3 months in. The company is treating me like I’m an idiot because I requested a refund. They’re telling me that it’s normal for my carburetor to break by month 3. THATS NOT NORMAL! The hassle I’m dealing with now is worth your time somewhere else. IT SHOULD ALSO BE MENTIONED THAT THERE ARE NO MECHANICS NEAR ME THAT WILL TOUCH THIS. Keep that in mind if you’re looking to purchase. Most mechanics won’t touch the cheaper foreign scooters. Update 2: more issues! Multiple wires being pinched by center stand. Can’t go anywhere and still an awful company! Don’t buy it trust me people just save up and go to a dealer. Final update: this moped is trash don’t buy from this company. They are trash. I sold the moped for parts and regret ever buying it. Honestly just don’t…. Go to a dealer! It's no Japanese scooter but these have come a long way. When you put it together go over all the nuts and bolts. A few were loose. A little locktite is a good idea as well as it vibrates a bit. Change the oil and gear oil before you drive it. 10w40 in the motor and I used 75w90 in the gear case.

It arrived via a freight truck delivered to my front door. The freight company called me ahead of time to make sure I was home. I was a little worried when it arrived because the steel cage container was dented and the cardboard was torn in a few places. Even though the package looked rough there was no damage to the scooter. Assembly was easy and it arrived mostly assembled. It came with no assembly instructions, but I found a YouTube video. You just have to install the handle bars, front wheel, and a few cosmetic trim items The legal vehicle title and a purchase receipt came in the mail a few days after the scooter was delivered. It runs good and feels heavy duty like a real motorcycle. I am 6'4" and 220 pounds. I felt comfortable and I was able to get it up to 45mph. My teenage son has been driving it to work everyday for the past month and he really likes it. I am surprised by how good it is considering the price! ... show more

I use this for every day commute to work and it rarely lets me down, I recommend keeping a spare spark plug on you and extra oil in the seat and the few sockets that go to all that, they also offer a good warranty and will send you any part needed for free if it's still in the warranty period, it is also very easy to fix yourself even if you barely know anything about engines ... show more

I bought this as a gift for my son thats in college living in a different state. Only took an hour to assemble and it was very easy! Runs great and my son loves it! I had an issue with bill of sale being in my name and my son registering it in another state but the seller has been awesome in helping me out with the issue.
