    • Give Yourself a Short Haircut for Less
This is a great trimmer for giving yourself a short haircut. First, the obvious comparison, to the Remington Shortcut Pro. It sounds the same. It feels the same in your hand and on your head. It performs the same in terms of the cut. It comes with the same (or very similar) array of combs, plus cleaning brush and lubricating oil. The differences are minor. The storage pouch is too small. The charging cable (with its non-standard plug on the trimmer end) terminates in a USB plug instead of an AC adaptor. The price is 33% less. Customer support is an unknown, although when my last Remington (my second) failed after two years and I tried to contact Remington for support, I was met with deafening silence. My use case is this: now in my 70s, I have had progressing male-pattern baldness for 40+years. Maybe 15 years ago I decided to just give up and shave the remaining hair short. After trying different trimmers, I came upon the Remington Shortcut and have never looked back. My first one lasted almost 10 years, but the second failed much more quickly. These trimmers are designed and optimized for cutting one's own hair. They are easy and comfortable to hold, Changing the angle to address different parts of your head is natural and secure. Even with the shortest comb (1.5mm) you'll never nick or cut yourself. The manual says for an even closer shave you can use it without a comb, but I never have. If you like a uniform stubble beard, this trimmer works fine on your face, but it's not really for edging or shaping. And it's not for people who just want a smooth bald hairless head.     • Good affordable option and performs as well as the original.
Good value, but you get what you pay for. My 7 year old Remington Shortcut started shutting off repeatedly because the built in rechargeable lithium ion battery failed. I decided to take a chance with this "clone" and save a few bucks. The GEE TIAN was decently packaged with all the combs like the original. It includes a USB Charging cord. (This is a nice option as long as you have a USB charger around), small bottle of machine oil, and a bag. It cuts just as well as the original. The fit and finish of the Gee Tian plastics is less polished than the Remington. Note: the combs are NOT interchangeable with the Remingto and vice versa. The charging cord is also not compatible with the Remington. So if you are hoping to save the old Remington parts for a backup spare, you are out of the luck.     • Buy these instead of the remington clippers.
Look it's going to stop functioning in a year or two. However, so is the remington model that costs twice as much as this. For years I kept buying the remington clippers. Only to have it sputter and cease working in a year or two. But its like, the best game in town. Until I found these. I'm 100% convinced these are literally from the same supplier that manufacturers these clippers for remington. So I recommend buying these instead and spending 40 bucks every two years on new ones instead of 70. ... show more

    • Ok, but could use some improvement.
I have used these about 8 times. The battery has been great and I just recharged it for the first time. What I don’t like is that the teeth on the trimmers are way too large and snag my skin while I am trying to use them. I feel like these clippers would be fantastic if they had teeth like every other set of clippers I have ever owned. It’s not really painful, just annoying because it slows the haircut down considerably. ... show more

Tried to use this product for the first time and it ran for about 20 seconds and then quit. Put it back on charge and tried again without change. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
