My neighbor 2 door up recommended these for my basement. So far ,so good. Removed the old Ballast tube lamp holders and mounted these along 4 edges of the basement outer perimeter. Definitely brighter and cleaner light output , immediate bright on shine.

    • A great light with inadequate mounts.

These lights work great. The frame is aluminum, so it is not "flimsy" as some claim. The lights are quite bright, so be ready to see everything in your garage. There were plenty of cords to power up and daisy chain the lights. So why 4 stars? The mounts are really poor quality. The mounts are a "C" clamp that you screw into the ceiling. (And to note, the screws provided are much too small and short.) Once the mounts are installed the lights are supposed to snap right into them. This only works if your ceiling is absolutely flat -- as in no more than a 1/4" deflection from flat over the entire 4 foot span of the light. The ceiling in our 77 year old garage is made of a compressed paper product referred to (by some) as "beaver board". Think sheets of paper mache. It is not flat and the lights cannot snap in. Solution? I took a zip tie and pinned it under the "C" clamp, used the clamp as a guide, and cinched up the zip tie. Now they are secure. Not to manufactures: Do not screw up customers opinion of your product by using a completely inadequate part. However, for the price a really good value and a good light. ... show more

We actually used these to replace the lighting over our bathroom mirrors and sinks. They seem to last a whole lot longer than the originals and are great for brushing, washing, makeup, putting on contacts, etc. When in a hurry, bright lighting without glare makes a big difference.

I misunderstood what these were but they worked out great. All I wanted was a 6 foot strip light with 2 runs of lights. There were 4 strips of lights here with enough associated hardware included to install them individually or in series. There was also adapters included to hard wire them in to electric boxes. I opted to just plug them in. The plugs have rocker switches in the cords . I had bought an 8 foot strip led light from Hone Depot for an adjoining closet and only wish I had bought these before I installed the 8 foot ones. There was enough lighting to illuminate both closets in this one kit. They have clips to install in to your ceiling and they snap right in solid. Very happy with them. ... show more
