These are the best garage upgrade you can buy! They are super easy to install with two screw in mounts, then snap in place. I had a dead spot in the garage when the door is open, and needed a cure. I found these and upgraded! I took 2x2 angle and cut them in 1” wide pieces. Then I drilled holes for the mounting screws. I only put four on the door on two sections of support brace on the door. I screwed the angle pieses with 19” of space from the outermost seam of the door. I did both sides this way. The extensions came out great with the spacing! I made a loop with the four lights so that the power cord was on topside of the door. Then i ran a 15ft extension cord that wraps itself up, from the power cord on the lights to the garage door opened outlet. I used 175pound zip ties on both sections so it would hold on the door closing and pulling it tight. The. I got a remote controlled outlet and installed the power cord in the outlet. It came out perfect! Now when I have the door up, I can click the remote, and BAM “let there be light” I have seen many videos of people using cable reels to power lights and taking out the brake so it will retract back when the door opens/closes. That did not fit my thinking and time so I thought about the curly type extension cord. Best way yet. It says 8ft coiked up and 15 foot extended. I need 13 feet between the door tract and outlet. I am very impressed with the extra light from four lights, that I can’t wait to add the other six to the garage! Durable made and I had no issues at all! ... show more

Just finished installing 8’ and 4’ lights in my garage. The different length lights link up just fine and the most I have in a single string is 3 (one 8’ and two 4’). They are lighting up my 3 car garage and put out more than enough light to work anywhere within the garage at 4’ spacing. I added additional junction boxes down the middle of my garage to keep the amount of linked lights down since there are restrictions on how many can be direct linked. There are good and bad things with these lights. The good: - The lights are bright and easy to install. 1 clip for each 2’ of light is what I installed at (4 for the 8’ fixture, 2 for the 4’ fixtures. - Cannot beat the price. We will see how long they last. The bad: - They say you can hardwire them. I think they meant “hard to wire” them. The lead they give you in the box for hardwiring is +\- 6” long. The stub of the three stranded wires is only stripped 1.” Anyone who has ever done anything inside a junction box knows that is way too short to easily work with. The stranded three wires coming off the white jacket needs to be 6” long, not the 1” they give you. Fitting three caps inside a j box with 1” of cable separation between load, neutral, and ground is hard, even using Wagos. Stripping the jacket leads to damaged conductors very easily if you aren’t careful… but then that leaves you with basically no room to connect to the fixture. Your Jbox has to be within 3” of the fixture connector. - heat sink and clip. The aluminum chassis that is also the structural back of the fixture is also the LED heat sink. It gets pretty warm. Hind sight being 20/20, I would have opted to mount the brackets with some spacers to get some space between the back of the fixture and my wood joists. I’m not too worried about the heat, but more about the fixture being able to dissipate heat efficiently. - the screws. Go to your big box store and get some proper screws. The tofu pot metal garbage screws they give you strip out very easily. Save yourself some curse words and just pick up a pack of decent screws. - the diffuser. Or lack there of. Nothing like getting glared by direct exposure to LED diodes. It would be nice to have a frosted lens option, even at the cost of illumination reduction. Other thoughts: Not dimmable. Tried hooking up a dimmable Lutron Caseta smart switch. The switch instantly started buzzing and shortly thereafter, the switch went into thermal shutdown. Works fine on a dumb switch. The 4’ cables to link strings cannot link up directly, so don’t think of putting two together and having an 8’ spacing between linked lights. Update. So far, I haven't been able to resolve the frequency interferance, though still pursing filter options. That said, the update is due to the seller's proactive outreach to me offering a full refund. It's refreshing to see sellers "fully" back their products. Many could learn from this seller. ----------- Lights work as expected however they interfere with the chamberlain garage opener to the point it will not open wirelessly. I've ordered some ferrite clamps in the hope I can filter out it's frequency from the garage opener receiver. ... show more

These lights were purchased in replacement for some earlier version of Barrina T8 LED lights. These are so much better than the originals brighter & clearer. I contacted the company Barrina regarding some questions for the product install based on the experience with the originals. I've had some good experiences with companies over the years but not to the level of expertise of the two reps Vicky and Chris that this company has shown me. They listened to my questions/concerns and handled all with experience and grace. They went above an beyond my expectations with the expired warranty as a token of customer appreciation. I will recommend these lights and company to anyone who asks where the lights for my shop came from.
