Have a 60' metal shipping container for storage at my church. Doors in one end only and even with them fully open, pretty dim at the far end. Hung all 4 of these at one top corner spaced along the length of it. They really light it up. Were super easy to put up (extremely light so one person can hold one of these easily when putting up). Since these are LED all 4 draw less than a couple of 100w incandescent bulbs so almost any extension cord will work to power all 4. And since they are LED, should last a long time. I gave these 5 stars because they are good lights at a great price point. However, if I were rating order fulfillment/shipping would give only 1 star, maybe 2. My initial order came in the manufacturer's box but it was obvious labels had been cut off and box had been re-taped. Inside were only 3 lights, none of which would light properly (some tubes did not light at all; some only 1/3 or 1/2 the tube). To Amazon's credit, I used the return & replace option which got me what I should have gotten to begin with - a clean box with 4 perfectly functioning lights inside.

Okay - first thing: when your lights arrive you're going to think "Oh no! They only sent me one light - I bought a 4-pack didn't I?" - Don't panic! You did indeed buy a 4-pack, they're all in the one small (long) box. The packaging is pretty flimsy, and technically the lights feel flimsy, too. They're extremely light weight, and assuming you're buying them for a shop application I think you'll be pleased. Because they weigh practically nothing installation should be a breeze compared to awkwardness of working with traditional fluorescent light housings. The weirdest part of these lights is the LED nature. Flip the switch and they come on instantly - no more hum, flicker, tentative hesitation before coming on. Just WHAM! Instant bright white light. Also, the diffusion in the plastic tube (faux-bulb) material really evens out the light dispersion. In other words, you really can't see the individual LED lights inside. It's pretty cool. NOTE: These do not come with any sort of housing - at all. If you really want to make them directional you'll have to come up with you own solution. On the back of the 'bulb' is a 1/2" white strip running it's full length that no doubt seats the LED bulbs on the inside, so unlike regular fluorescent bulbs these don't produce 360 degrees of illumination . They produce no discernable heat and I assume can be mounted to virtually any surface. Given the inexpensive price I'd easily recommend them.

Great lights. Easy to hang either on supplied chains/hooks or directly to ceiling or joists. Plenty of brightness. Easy to daisy chain, though max of 5' cord length and max of 4 lights. We are very happy with them and ordered two more sets to finish our basement gym and laundry rooms. Be aware they are non dimmable, so if you are connecting to a dimmer switch or outlet, they will not work.

Very bright. I would be careful about using it where you have to look at it often as it makes my eyes ache to look up directly at it. Tried to take a picture but it is so bright it washes the picture out. See first pic. The second pic is the back of my hand about 8 feet from the light moving out from the end of the light on a 45 degree angle. My hand is about 2 feet above the concrete floor. Notice how brightly the light reflects off the dark gray painted concrete floor. Because of angles the floor you are seeing in the picture about 9 1/2 feet from the light and NOT directly under the light but instead off beyond one end of the light. Will probably want to see if I can add another diffuser below the light so it is more comfortable if I end up looking at the light. Since these do not come with reflector if they don't have a white ceiling above them and are mounted close to the ceiling you might want to plan on adding a reflector of some sort above the light as they spill a bunch of light up too. All 4 lights came in a box that barely would have held a single old fluorescent shop light fixture. Super light weight.(to the mildly concerning type weight feeling cheap) The box they came in is almost heavier than a light. 3 lights are superbly lighting a 40 x 16 basement. Practically daylight in every corner. If these last even 1/5 of their predicted life span they will have easily paid for themselves vs the fluorescent 4 foot shop lights. Unless durability problems crop up I am totally satisfied for the price. Used the same mounting nails the previous lights had been held by so installs were a breeze. Unhook old light. Hook up new ones' chains on the nails and plug in. left loops of cord with the switch in hanging mildly down so I can kill power to 2 of the lights some of the time since 90% of what I do is in one end of the basement and the light switches at either end turn all 3 or all 3 off at one time. So if the switches on the cords hold up that should save a bit more power over the all on version that was there previously.

I installed 4 of these into my 12x24 shed. The other reviews are true in that these lights feel flimsy. However, flimsy or not, 4 of them turned by shed into "daylight". Their light weight does make them easier to install overhead, and the linking function greatly simplified wiring them in. Having used many different brands of LED shoplights in my buildings, these are by far the cheapest in price, but match brightness in every way, and in the end that is what matters. While having the option of screwing through the base would be quite nice in comparison with the slots, this does fit tighter to the ceiling than the hanging style, useful for low overhead applications like a shed. I have been using these lights for a bit over two months now with zero complaints. They have worked so well in this low-ceiling height application that I will be purchasing 12 for my basement here soon.
