  • It is as advertixed
note the tapered shaft, but there is a place to hold it in a larger chuck, just behind the smaller chuck

  • AWESOME AND FITS
I have a SHOP FOX Model W1704 mini lathe. This fits perfectly and runs smoothly. Packaged very well and sealed with lubricants. I previously ordered a different one which NOT only didnt fit my lathe but it was poorly made. IM EXCITED TO HAVE THIS ADDITION!!! I make jewelry and this is awesome for polishing rings. Fits the adjustable ring mandrels perfectly!!! ... show more

  • I am doing something wrong!!!
Unless I am doing something wrong, the arbor spins out when I turn off lathe. No instructions with package. When it does work, the chuck holds wood in place.

  • Decent Piece
I ordered this piece for my new Craftman lathe 6 speed. It fits prfect, it was delivered super fast, and it was pretty simple to use. It holds the wood nicely and tight. It was great for its price. I would recomend it but I've only had it for less than a week so I don't know how well it will keep long term. ... show more

  • Four Stars
Not quite as well made as I'd like, but works as intended. Delivered within the time frame described.

  • Ok 4 round but not for four sided prodjects
No good for square 4-sided wood

  • Works great
I ordered this to put on a Wen wood lathe and it worked exactly how I intended. Glad I decided to go with this one over some more expensive ones.

  • Don't buy it, or prepare to do some work if you do.
TlDR things to note It is not functional out of the box It is extremely sharp It sucks More in depth notes Here I am, 90 dollars and 5 hours later and it is finally functional. It is NOT functional out of the box. Do NOT try to use it without fixing it first. They didn't remove any of the burrs and they did not make the channels for the jaws large enough, so you really have to pry on it to get it open for the first time. When you first open it, pry open the jaws and keep unscrewing until they fall out. Then, take a pair of spring clip pliers and remove the clip on the back side. Slide it open and remove all of the grease it is shipped with. (The grease was degraded and smelled absolutely awful) Take a file and spend three hours slowly figuring out where the jaws are scraping on the head and shave it down so that it works properly. Take some sand paper and knock off all the burrs so that you don't cut your hand open, and grease it back up with GOOD grease. Reassemble, and put the spring clip back in place. Congratulations! You just wasted your time and money on something you could have gotten cheaper and better from some other seller. Also, if you still intend to buy it. Please note that if you turn the jaws around to fit larger stock you must put them in in this order. 132. Otherwise the 2 jaw will not align with the others. The number on the head should be the same as the number on the jaw closest to the head number. ... show more
