I bought this table for my kitchen as I recently moved and needed to downsize from the one I had. It fits so perfectly & is just the right size for myself! I do see other reviews saying it’s too small for two people to dine but I disagree. The assembly was kind of a pain - I laughed when the instructions said to have an ‘adult helper’ but I could see now why. I struggled more with the chairs than anything as the bottom bar was hard to screw into the back piece as it was too wide to fit in between the bars unless you used muscle. All in all I think it’s a great quality set for the price (hefty & durable materials) & would recommend! ... show more

I ordered 2 gray tables and instead got 2 black tables with one table top damaged and one chair missing pieces. I didn’t bother opening the second box. Was leery about doing so, plus it was the wrong color so I am leaving it boxed to have picked up and sent back. Customer service reps varied from extremely rude and obnoxious to helpful and kind. Spoke with 4 people over the course of 2 days about the damage and wrong shipment and was finally able to arrange an exchange, however a weeks wait for delivery has then updated to10 days. ... show more

I like the piece, but it is quite a bit smaller than I expected. Not sure how 2 persons could dine at this table simultaneously. Sturdy enough, but for a single (small) diner. If you are 200+ lbs, go with something bigger and sturdier. It certainly does fit well in small spaces. It is an attractive piece at the price, and I'd recommend it if the dimensions work for your circumstances. Note: I have revised my rriginal review after their Cutomer Service reached out to me unsolicited. As I said above, it is smaller than I expected. But they took the time and effort to contact me, and I realize that the measurements are included in the product specs. This was perfect for my dad. His apartment is small and this was just the right size. The letter and numbers were hard to read but the pictures made it easy to put together.

I've always wanted one of these and, for the price, thought I'd give it a try. The Shintenchi kitchen bar does require some assembly. The directions a fairly easy to follow and it didn't take long for it to come together. There is also a PDF available online, though I found it to be pretty much the same, but good to know in case something happens to yours. Set is cute. It does need a little shimmy here and there to keep the little bit of rock from happening, but that is to be expected with the price point.
