  • Seems to be made well
I bought this because I'm tired of spending over $200 on a tire to only have it last 4000 miles. I don't do burnouts and feel they should last much longer than that. I like that this seems to have a wider contact patch than the Dunlops and Bridgestones do. These look like the area where most of the wear is going to occur is at least 50% wider. It's a flatter tire, not as rounded as the Dunlops and Bridgestones are. I'm hoping because the contact patch is wider it will translate to longer wear. If it doesn't at least it didn't cost $200 or more. I balanced it with glass beads, so far no vibrations. ... show more

  • Excellent for the money.
Shinko make a quality product. I heard that the company purchased all the molds to construct the tires from Yokohama, who at the time was getting out of the bike business to focus on cars, perhaps a rumor, but that what I heard. I have to mount new tires every time I change oil. I have probably been through a 12 to 20 Shinko's over the years. Hands down they are the best value in Mototires anywhere. As far as mileage goes , I will blame that on riding style and my built XV1700. Live good :-) ... show more

  • I'm impressed
I've got a couple hundred miles on this tire so far and I'm impressed. They are holding up really well. Very little wear and the ride smooth and quiet. I just bought a front wheel from Shinko. I'm happy so far.

  • Best tire I have ever had!
Great tire 2 have and most importantly the price......Can't beat it. Awesome handling in any kind of elements but hitting curves are the best because the grip is unbeatable!

  • Bad spot in tire
I’ve bought these tires before and they’re pretty reliable. However this last tire I purchased was No Good. It’s been raining a lot here in Florida where I live and I haven’t had time to road test bike. Finally when I’m able to road test and replace about 6 other components before realizing the “severe bounce” was coming from bad tire. This whole ordeal has cost me over A grand. Which is getting off easy compared to others. However I strongly urge you to road test the tire rain or shine before 30 day return policy expires. ... show more
