This intensive hydration hair masque infuses hair with a powerful dose of moisture and nutrients. This deep conditioning hair treatment masque is made with Shea Butter, and Mafura and Baobab Oils that are blended with antioxidant-rich African Rock Fig to restore and lock in moisture while deeply conditioning. Smoothes and fortifies follicles for stronger, healthier, frizz- free hair. This hair masque blends certified organic Shea Butter, Honey, and Mafura and Baobab Oils with antioxidant-rich African Rock Fig to restore and lock in moisture. As is the case with all SheaMoisture hair products, this intensive hydration hair masque is formulated with no sulfates, no parabens, no phthalates, no mineral oil, no animal testing, and no petrolatum. To use: Section clean, wet hair. Apply this deep conditioner generously. Use a wide tooth comb to distribute this hair product evenly from root to ends. Leave in for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. For extra conditioning, cover hair with a plastic cap. Apply moderate heat for up to 30 minutes. When using a steamer, do not cover hair. Moist heat will add to the masque's hydration. I use this once a week and the effects last all week and it hydrates my ends and after my hair volume and it’s soft and healthy! It doesn’t dull my hair like most conditioners do, by hair is shiny! I used this conditioner last night and blow dried my hair. My hair still looked and felt great the next morning. I get highlights and have some grays, and my natural wave tends to make my hair dry. This mask is thick, spreads easily through the hair, and works as well, if not better than, the expensive ones I’ve tried. My hair is extremely dry due to menopause and graying. I have natural hair. I am a 3C maybe 4A I purchased this to help. So far so good. It smells good. Not too heavy. My hair seemed soft and definitely hydrated after. I will continue to use and will update my review after several more uses

If your hair is feeling parched, brittle, or lackluster, this masque delivers on its promise of deep hydration and smoother texture. I found it especially helpful for curls and dry ends. What I loved: • Right out of the jar, the texture is creamy yet light—not heavy or greasy—and it spreads easily throughout the hair.  • After using it, my hair felt significantly softer, looked smoother, and had noticeably less frizz. One reviewer said: “This hair mask had been almost a miracle for my hair. … My hair looks touchable, swings and moves like it’s finally got some weight.”  • It uses key ingredients like manuka honey (a humectant), mafura oil (rich in oleic acid), and African rock fig/baobab oil to nourish and lock in moisture.  • Good value for what you’re getting—plenty of product, useful for weekly deep-conditioning.     • Very Effective for Extremely Dry, Super Wavy and Tangled Hair
I have extremely dry, thick, tangly, but slightly brittle hair (on some places from too much dyeing), and my hair was absolutely suffering, especially during winter. My hair is also wavy and probably a type 2b to 2c, maybe slightly 3a (it's also straight in some places so not exactly). My scalp is so dry that I could get away with never washing it, but even then, my hair gets dry due to lack of any moisture. I suffered with my hair not even absorbing conditioner (probably because it's low-porosity), until I started using SheaMoisture's masque with honey and mafura oil. This absolutely works, and it lasts a very long time. It's very effective, economical, and high quality. I love the smell too, it's so delicious-smelling. Please never stop making this. I use it once a week, and then sometimes skip it and use an argan conditioner inbetween. This works very well for me. ... show more

I have very fine, straight hair, that has been damaged by hard water. The hard water makes my hair dry, brittle and impossible to comb through while wet. I use this hair masque in the shower in place of conditioner and it makes my hair so soft and manageable. It rinses clean and detangles my hair perfectly where regular detanglers have failed. This is the best hair mask I have ever used, hands down. It smells fabulous and it totally rehydrated my hair after one use. I have fine, low porosity curly hair, and my hair thrived with this mask. I have used nearly all of shea moisture’s masks and this was the best one for my hair. 10/10.

    • TOTAL TRANSFORMATION from old hair to baby soft!
I have A LOT of fine hair which is naturally wavy and curly and is past mid-way down my back. I rarely blow dry it or flat iron it, BUT I’m in my 60s and although I take vitamins and supplements, my hair is aging. Even though I don’t wash it every day, the hot shower water makes it get dry and frizzy and stringy with no shine or moisture. Most recently, it didn’t look or feel like human hair - it resembled upholstery thread. I tried in-shower conditioners ‘made in Italy’ without the chemicals, but it wasn’t enough. Then I found this product on Amazon and after reading the reviews, figured it was worth a try. I followed the instructions: washed my hair; applied a generous amount from roots to ends; combed it through, put a shower cap on AND wrapped a towel around it and left it in for 30 minutes. After rinsing it, I could immediately see the effectiveness this product had on my hair; it was silky, shiny, moist and healthy and SUPER SUPER SOFT!
