My castor oil was packaged well. I have tried it once and it was satisfactory. I will be using it along with jojoba oil to cut down on the usual stickiness that castor oil can have. I use it faithfully weekly as a hot oil treatment and massage on my scalp. I believe due to hormonal changes I have had hair thinning. I am postmenopausal. I've been using castor oil for a good 6 months and I've got a lot of new growth. My hair looks and feel thicker. I also use castor oil on my eyelashes. I take a dab on my ring fingers rub it together and then apply it across my lash line and lids. There's been studies that have shown castor oil to be good for killing demodex mites. Demodex mites live in the lashes and hair follicle of all human beings. They can be in your eyebrows and on your skin of your face. They are known to come out at night and snack on your dead skin cells. That leaves your eyelids extremely itchy and red and swollen. So, after eyelid scrubs with a touch of tea tree oil and a small application of castor oil my eyes feel and look 100% better. Another way I use castor oil is to apply a dab atop my moisturizer. It helps to lock in your moisture to keeping you hydrated. I will attach a photo of my face and as you can see I'm not oily. My almost 60 year old skin drinks it right up. No clinical proof that it promotes lash/brow growth, but has other multi-use skincare benefits

When I was a teen, friends would use castor oil in the belief that it would improve lash and brow length and thickness. But they were always applying too much and getting it in their eyes, so I'd never tried it myself. As it turns out, there's zero clinical evidence to support claims that castor oil promotes lash or brow growth/thickness. For that, Latisse or the same but much more affordable Careprost works wonders.) But if some see that improves their brows and lashes, then science aside, that's what's most important. I can't say that using it has led to thicker brows, but I've noticed that my brows are much better behaved, with no more "rogue" hairs shooting off in unwanted directions. I bought this castor oil because I saw a skincare video claiming that using it around the eyes (sparingly) at night resulted in smoother, less puffy eyes in the morning. I was very doubtful because castor oil is an occlusive, which means it holds in fluid. And because fluid accumulation around the eyes is what causes puffiness, I was perplexed as to why applying castor oil to the skin around the eye area wouldn't result in waking up with massively puffy eyes. (Anyone who's ever resorted to using petroleum jelly -- also an occlusive -- around their eyes can probably attest to waking up with fluid-filled eye bags, even if you're young and have a firmer under-eye area.) But for some reason, gently tapping a small amount of castor oil around the eyes at night really does work. At least for me, and apparently for the woman who creates the skincare advice videos. (She also uses it on her neck and decolletage.) I tend to be a natural skeptic, so I was shocked (happily so) at the results. After using at night (over my gentle retinol eye cream/gel), I wake up in the morning with smoother, more rested and definitely un-puffy eyes. Go figure. For me, it wasn't so effective as a cuticle softener/moisturizer, but I have an excellent hand treatment for that, so that wasn't a downside. Castor oil offers lots of other benefits, making it a good, multi-use oil to keep on hand. But again, the one thing the science says it won't do is promote lash or brow growth. What it does do is condition them, making them appear glossy and healthy and feel a bit thicker, and that's no small thing. But be very careful if applying with the included spoolie brush, as it's very easy to get the oil into your eyes when using on lashes. I press a piece of lint-free paper towel on the brush to blot any oil excess before using. Because this oil is very thick, if it gets into your eyes, it can take a while to clear. This is an excellent product, and I appreciate that it's organic, and that both a spoolie and a very fine eyeliner-type brush are included. The dropper tip opening is larger than most because this oil is so thick, so you'll want to go easy, as even if just letting it drip out, it releases a lot of oil. ... show more

This castor oil is great, You can tell it’s good quality since it’s cold pressed and organic. It’s thick, but it does wonders for dry spots, lashes, and hair. my only concern is that i wish the suction spurt was a bit smaller because it tend to spill a little when i suction it to put in my hair but overall i am pleased with this purchase, it think so a little bit goes a really long way. Helpful for dry eyes!

This product seems to be of excellent quality. I first purchased another brand, and while the oil itself was great, the bottle it came in had an extra narrow opening where the dropper comes out, and it made it very difficult to not end up with drips down the side of the bottle. Having tried 2 different brands now, it does seem that castor oil can be very messy, as it seems to want to fall out of the dropper even when being very careful, but I was very pleased to find that this bottle has a larger opening, making it easier to keep drips at a minimum. I started using this mainly on my eyelids for dry eyes, but I now use it basically all over my face and love how it makes my skin look. It also does seem to really help soothe dry eyes and seems to have really made a difference in that regard. ... show more
