This product is very moisturizing and excellent for natural hair styles and wash and go. I would recommend this product for type 3b 3c, 4a Hair. I used it instead of gel to really make my curls pop. After deep conditioning I add leave in conditioner to damp hair and then a detangler. I have 2c-ish curly hair, and though this product can be heavy, I find that if I apply it to freshly washed hair that I've only just squeezed the excess water out of, and apply in moderation then it works really well. I'm very sensitive to scents and so a lot of the other leave in products are out based on scent alone, this is one that I am not allergic to and so it's my go-to. My hair is waist length, thin and fine, and I use about a large grape sized amount. I use prayer hands to apply it and then comb it through and scrunch. Then I put my hair in a microfiber towel for about 10 minutes and I find this is the perfect amount & procedure for my hair. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have naturally curly hair and I am trying to get it back to being healthy, so I'm doing the curly girl method. I was using cantu curl activator, but got this because I couldn't order the other one on Amazon during this time. Well, I am so glad that I did! This cream does a much better job. It moisturizes my curls very much, and it even adds bounce. I have included a video to show just how bouncy it makes my curls! In addition, it has a very strong coconut scent. Listen ive only had this product less than a half hour. Only tried a small amount about ten minutes ago and here I am writing a review. The scent alone won me over but the instant change in my hair speaks volumes. Its just that great my hair is soft moist and smells like paradise if thats even a scent. I cant wait to shampoo and condition with the products tonight and and get the full experience. I didn't rate the drying properties yet because my hair isnt dry at all. If they mean did it leave it wet the answer is no but its really moist as in not dried out then 5stars it is. I have been on a "curl journey" and have been searching for the perfect leave in that was affordable. I REALLY wanted this to be the one. I have 2c/3a hair thats super frizzy and coarse and so need a lot of moisture but this was overly moisturizing and left my hair feeling weighed down and greasy (which never happens). I tried to use less the next time I used it, but then it just left my hair frizzy. Also I had read people having trouble with the bottle and I totally agree, i didn't think it would be a big deal but it's so hard to get out of the bottle, I had to take the cap off with my second use. ... show more

Ive been using this product for years. I use it as an intense moisturizer whenever I wash and dry my hair. After I dry my hair its still generally moist, I then use this to start my moisturizing process.
