My partner has been using this quite a lot because he has some issues with his back knotting up. They have suggestions on what attachments to use for the part of the body you need help with to get relief. They are all hard plastic except the massage ball, and that is the one he prefers. It seems to be wrapped in foam, and it really picks up the pet hair quickly. He says it does a decent job of relaxing his back and he has been able to use it by himself. I like the hot and cold feature and will start with cold and go into heat for my back issues. The case is very handy and makes it very easy to store and travel with if needed. I wanted to use this on my back, and left shoulder more than anything. I was not able to get this massage gun to the correct angle for this purpose by myself. I ended up purchasing a separate device that holds this massager, and lets me get at my back. For pretty much any other area, I had no problems with it. It's got some respectable power behind it, and it isn't terribly loud. I have a minor gripe of needing to store the massager with the ball head attached, as otherwise you can't close it up in the case. There's a few head attachments, but what had me sold was the hot and cold attachment. It has its own usb-c port, and needs to be charged independently from the massage gun itself. I ended up really liking this head. On the coldest setting, it gets to refrigerated cold. Not ice cold, but still impressive. The hot at max gets hotter than I expected. It's basically a heated blanket on high. It is hot enough that I didn't want to keep it on my wrist for testing long since it was getting uncomfortable. When used normally as the massage gun is running, it is a soothing heat. I don't like the foam ball head attachment. The very first time I used it on my bare skin, it immediately started collecting skin flakes, and oil onto it. Gross. It should have been made out of rubber, so I could properly clean and sanitize it. The other attachments are plastic, which is better, as they can be cleaned. They are servicable for relief. I would have preferred rubber for them as well. Of them all, the foam ball is the one I worry the most about not being very durable. Performance wise, I found this little massager did a pretty good job helping to loosen things up. It does a decent job getting out muscle knots. For when things are really tight, it couldn't get everything completely loose, but did give relief. Those situations really require a TENs unit. This massage gun lessening the pain at times like those is the most I can ask for. The hot/cold attachment does a lot of heavy lifting in that regard. ... show more

Overall, we've really liked this massager, it's come in very handy for both me and my husband. It really is pretty quiet compared to some other percussion-type massagers we've used in the past. It comes with such a wide variety of attachments and better yet, a little guide of when and where is best to use each one. The controls are super simple for cycling through the 5 intensity levels and we like how you can always see what the battery level is. I really appreciate how easy it is to switch out each attachment, just twist on and off. They sort of click into place and feel secure once they're in place. We've had others that needed to be pulled on or off and sometimes those were hard for me to change out on my own. However, one of my few minor quibbles is that the handle is just a tad wide for me and my small hands. I can still hold it, as you can clearly see in my attached photos and video, but it can become a bit of a strain after a while. This obviously won't be a problem for everyone and it's not like it's made this massager unusable for me, just a little uncomfortable for longer periods. My only other minor complaint is that I wish that the carrying case was covered in a more waterproof type material. The fabric feels and looks nice, but I don't know how well it would hold up to things being spilled on it or if it could easily be wiped down. I haven't tested this and based on how thick and sturdy the case is, I wouldn't be surprised if the overall case itself was still somewhat waterproof for protecting the massager inside. So it's just a small quibble. I really appreciate that this even came with a carrying case and love how everything has a custom slot to keep things from moving around. ... show more

I've been using this for quite some time now, and it's really helped with my back pain. Everyone will have their own different experiences, of course. I like all the different attachments that come with it. Each one helps me target each specific area and I feel amazing afterwards. The massage levels and intensity levels are spot on. I use this so much that I've taken it on a few trips and it was small enough that it didn't cause any issues with packing.     • Very effective but not for use on the neck

This percussion massage gun comes packaged with its multiple attachments in a reasonably sturdy case, but which some people may find too large for traveling with. The massage gun is very effective, however the included instructions warn against using it on the neck which is where I was most looking forward to using it. To me the most impressive thing is the hot/cold attachment, which is charged separately from the gun itself. I honestly don't understand how the same attachment can be made to apply either heat or chilling to my muscles, but it does! The gun is easy to use and very quiet during use. The hot/cold attachment has a barely perceptible whine when in its cooling mode. I've been experimenting with the attachments and I've concluded that they don't necessarily need to be used in the body locations specified in the instructions. The charge time and run time are both quite reasonable, and the device holds its charge even with a multi-week gap between uses. The only downside I've found is that it's a bit pricey for what it does. ... show more

This is the first time I've ever used a massage gun, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm really enjoying it. The hot/cold attachment works well and heats/cools quickly. I don't have a way of measuring its temperature but at its hottest it felt hot but not like it was going to burn my skin. I don't see myself using it at anything less than the hottest temp option. The hot/cold attachment charges separately and has its own power button and temp control buttons. It does attach to the gun though so you can still get the percussion action. The tip of the hot/cold attachment is metal where all the other attachments are some form of plastic and/or rubber combination. Some of the attachments are softer than others. I really like the bar attachment which is a firm plastic and not soft at all, but it's great on my upper back/shoulders. I like the cone attachment for getting into the knots under my scapula. It's easy to switch out the attachments, just twist to unscrew a little and pull them out. One thing about the attachments that is kind of unfortunate is that you have to insert the ball attachment into the gun in order to put it in the storage case. It would a little quicker, more convenient, if there were a separate place to store the ball attachment other than attaching it to the gun. The storage case is great otherwise. Very sturdy and minimalist from the outside. I like the texture and grip on the handle of the gun. I'm a lady with lady size hands and I have no problem getting my hand around it to hold it securely. The gun has different levels of intensity to choose from but I seem to end up on the highest level every time because why not? My only wish was that there would some way to turn the attachment at a 90 degree angle so that I could get at my own back easier. That's a wish list item, not really a criticism of this product. I need the massage the most right now on my upper back and shoulders and it's doable, but the awkward angle of having to hold it to your back yourself takes away from the therapy and relaxation. I guess the solution is find someone to hold it for me or get a device that is specifically designed for the shoulder/neck area. It still works though and is bringing relief to my tension and soreness. They describe the device as whisper quiet, which I disagree with. Not that it's loud, it's just not whisper quiet. Also just FYI, there are specific instructions included that say to not use this on your head or neck or any other boney area. Right now this is on a deal for about $85. It would make a great gift.
