Couldn’t rave enough about this spot vacuum! With two pets and two toddlers I use this life saver basically every day for a stress free clean! (Video below of an entire yogurt smoothie spilled and cleaned in 10 min like it never happened!! All before summer camp even started!) I’ve had other cleaning machines similar to this one and they were okay but they were also really hard to clean. The shark stain striker completely comes apart in the easiest way so the hose and each of the parts can be cleaned as well so the actual machines has no odor either! Never leaks, is easy to store and carry, even the smallest details down to being able to self wash the hose is a dream. ★★★★☆ Four Stars I have been using the Shark StainStriker Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner primarily for spot cleaning on carpets, rugs, and fabric upholstery, including pet related messes and everyday spills. Overall, it performs well and is convenient to keep on hand for quick cleanups. The cleaning solution and spray pattern do a good job loosening stains, and the onboard self cleaning feature is genuinely useful for keeping the system from clogging between uses. Setup is straightforward, and the unit is easy to carry and store. For fresh stains and light to moderate messes, it delivers solid results with minimal effort. My main limitation is suction power. While it does extract moisture, I find that it does not pull up as much liquid as I would like, especially on thicker carpet or heavily saturated areas. This can leave the surface slightly damp and sometimes requires additional passes or towel drying to finish the job. Build quality feels good for a portable unit, and the hose and attachments have held up well so far. This is not a replacement for a full size carpet cleaner, but it is effective for targeted use when expectations are set appropriately. This Shark StainStriker is fantastic! I havew a Hoover upright spot cleaner that works well enough but you can't get it clean. It is a major hassle! This little Shark stores in a small space and is much easier to clean - you can actually remove the dirty water tank to clean it and it has a built in nozzle and hose cleaner which is a big plus. Great at getting stains out too! The scrubbing heads do a great job of getting down deep into the carpet pile to work on old set-in stains as well as current spots. I have a Shark vacuum as well and it works great too. Shark just knows how to make good vacuum and carpet cleaners. Highly recommend! ... show more

Love this thing! I just purchased this last night for some our cloth bar stools. They haven’t been cleaned in a year. Everything was easy to take out of the box and I got to cleaning within minutes. I really like this one in comparison to the little green machine bissle makes. Plus! I’m obsessed with the self cleaning option for the tool. Whoever invented that knew what they were doing. It was a huge pet peeve of mine with the bissle machine - gunk would just get stuck and nasty under the plastic part. Really good machine! Get it! ... show more

Worked first time out. I am impressed by this little guy honestly! The instructions are pretty straight forward, just make sure you are filing the right tank up with solution. I messed up and was going to put the diluted shampoo into the extraction tank because I wasn't paying attention to exact wording in the instructions. But once I got it all set up I had several spots around the house from owning 2 indoor dogs. I tackled the big job first, my dog puked the night before and wasn't feeling well. So I had a couple spots from that and as in the pictures you can see that it all came up. Now full disclosure I did spray the area with a name brand stain remover and let it set before using this spot vacuum. But it all came up and I was impressed with how much 'dirt' and debris came up. The suction on this thing is great for my purposes and I did not have any water leaks. The spray is wide so it covers great on small areas (which this is intended for). I did use warm water in the water tank with the solution but nothing I would consider HOT at all. There is no heater on this unit. For the money I think this is a great value, I love the self cleaning feature, makes clean up a snap. Just empty the debris tank and rinse out then your ready for the next go. I did get mine on sale for about a Benjamin so look for sales. I will be keeping this unit and using it from time to time on doggy issues around the house. I have a carpet machine for any real big issues or just to spring clean the carpets already. ... show more
