    • Nearly perfect but has a small flaw
My daughter has type 4c hair, so I am always looking for easier and, most important, faster ways to straighten her hair. This has been working wonders on her hair and we can get a great result in half the time it takes other tools. However, the dry hair mode only works for around 20-30 seconds before it shuts off and we're forced to reset it. I don't know if my device is defective or if this is a design flaw but it is inconvenient. When I use the wet to dry feature, it works as intended and with no trouble, I just wish the dry mode stayed on longer. If you or someone whose hair you're working on has 4c, or extremely curly hair, I do suggest breaking out a pencil or 1/2" straightener to get the edges/roots because I have noticed this doesn't quite get to the scalp and that has always been my biggest issue. I still think this is a great tool and I will continue to use it. ... show more

This worked fine the first time I used it for blow drying my type 4a hair. The next I pulled it out to use, it shut off after 15 seconds and would not work more than 15 seconds at a time. Returned!

I've been using this for a few months now. I read some other reviews that stated that it quit working after a few weeks so I wanted to use it thoroughly before writing this review. So far its still running and functioning smoothly. Here are my overall thoughts: *its easy to use, but does require switching out attachments. I mainly use 2 put of 3 of the attachments. You need to use caution when switching them out because the plates on the straighter section can get hot and you could get burned when switching attachments if you're not careful. *its pretty light weight. *so far it's durable. *its compact for a hairdryer/ straighter combo, great for travel if you're pressed for space. My biggest complaint is struggling to find the best place to hold it. The areas that feel natural and comfortable to hold it are either too far forward (where I would burn my hand), or too far back (where I cover the air filters). My other complaint is that it takes me an close to 2x as long to dry my hair with this vs. My regular hair dryer. I expected more for hair drying power. However, with the design and the way you dry your hair, i don't always need to even use the straighter part which i appreciate keeping the extra heat off of my hair. The straighter does work very well. My hair is sleek and straight after using it. It looks nice and pretty sleek, considering it's a hairdryer and straightener combo. ... show more
