All around as a hair product it does it job well. Drys the hair fast without much damage in comparison to regular hair dryers. Only thing I did not take into account before buying the product was that the voltage it required is not suitable for the voltage and wats we use here in Hong Kong . Therefore I had to buy a transformer to be able to use the product .but over all it’s been amazing ... show more

I have unruly curly hair and did not expect this hair dryer to work as great as it does. The diffuser dries my hair faster than any other hair dryer I have used. I have also noticed less overall frizz with my hair. The curling wand attachment works great and the curls actually hold and last all day.

I bought this and the Dyson Airwrap so I could compare. This was at least $100 less than the basic Dyson Airwrap from Costco. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of Youtube on both products. Most people seemed to favor the Dyson. I did not like the way my hair turned out with the Dyson - it was fluffy and pouffy, not smooth. I much, much preferred the Shark FlexStyle. I love it! I have naturally curly/wavvy coarse blonde hair. I lighten my hair (don't bleach it) so I need to make sure it stays protected from heat damage. Curling irons, flat irons can be harsh. Overall, I love the Frizz Fighter attachment (not included in this set) and the oval brush. The auto-wrap curlers did not work well on my thick hair and am disappointed in that. They only seem to suck in a small amount of hair. I owned a previous Shark HyperAir blow dryer and it stopped working after less than 3 months so I'm surprised I tried another Shark but love this one. (But I did LOVE the Airwave attachment and it works better than the auto-curlers here though it was bulky). Here's what I love about the Shark FlexStyle: +I start out by putting product in my hair, part my hair then use the Shark FrizzFIghter Finishing Tool to blow dry and smooth my roots. This accessory is NOT included in this and needs to be purchased but is well worth it. It should come with this set! +After smoothing my roots I use the OVAL brush to brush and straighten my hair. You need to pull with some tension, brush a bit then hold in place for 10-20 seconds. Then you can do a "cool shot" to set. This tool works very similar to the Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Hot Air Brush, which I used for years. But this Shark with oval brush works MUCH better. You can control heat and air control plus it just puts out more air. -I didn't have much luck straightening my hair with the paddle brush. - I don't love the auto-wrap curlers very well on either machine. Neither really take in enough hair. If you have thin hair it probably works ok. I actually bought both products for this tool but they don't work well for me. The Dyson is better with only needing one tool. Honestly, the older SHARK Airwave attachment sucked larger volume of hair into a chamber and was amazing! I got so many compliments on my hair when I used it. It was bulky but I'd love to see a new version of that as none of the auto-wrap curlers from either machine work well on my thick hair. -I prefered the Dyson Airrwrap smoothing dryer attachment better than the Shark. It worked so well to smooth roots -This FlexStyle package did NOT include the smoother attachment so I purchased on Amazon the Shark XSKHD4PA FlexStyle FrizzFighter Finishing Tool. -The Shark FlexStyle requires two auto-wrap vs. the Dyson you only need one and just change the direction of the air. ... show more

To preface, I have long (torso length), moderately thick/wavy hair that has never been dyed. I'm typically a heatless curl girly, but I'm always looking for efficient ways to achieve cute curls. I rather impulsively purchased this with optimism that I could get the desired style I had been envisioning, but man, expectation is always better than reality. The bad: - I cannot for the life of me get my hair to curl using this thing. I learned after purchasing that this tool works better if you have processed hair and it is partially damp when using. Well, rest assured that if your hair isn't processed before using this tool, it will be after 😮💨. No amount of mousse, texturizing spray or any other product could make curls hold, and it only made my hair feel and look like straw. - Another common suggestion I read was that pinning each curl after wrapping will set them into place. This did help a little, but it added so much time to the process, and the curls didn't last more than a couple of hours before falling flat. The whole purpose of this being a "quick" styling tool is defeated when you have to do a whole other thing to just to convince yourself the curling attachments work and it was worth the pricetag. - It's pretty loud. It is technically a hair dryer, so that isn't a surprise. With that being said, when you're having to spend 15-30 seconds per strand of hair to curl right up against your head, it can be a bit harsh. - The air wrap attachments have a harder time with longer hair. My hair falls down over my chest, and I learned pretty quick that thicker sections couldn't wrap very well. Even so, reducing the amount of hair only helped so much given the length. By the time a strand is fully wrapped around the attachment, the airflow reduces enough that my ends fall away and don't curl. The good: - I love the diffuser attachment. In the past few years my hair has developed a natural wave, and the diffuser has done wonders for bringing it that out. - The brush attachments are awesome as well, although I am not super great at styling with them. I do use the smaller one to set my curtain bangs on the regular, and it is nice having an all in one way of achieving that. In summary, I don't think that I should have purchased this tool. The desired use doesn't work (for me) and is far too time consuming to not get results. While I do get some use out of it, I could just as easily use a hair dryer and regular round brush to set my bangs for a fraction of the cost. You may have better luck if you have processed hair, but I really do not think this tool is worth the cost. ... show more
