My 10 year old absolutely loves this!! It's not too thick, so he can wear it over his clothing and not overheat. He is on the shorter side, so if you think you need to size up, definitely do it. This was the perfect costume for my son for Halloween but also to get cozy in to read a book! He is 9 and it worked perfect! We added a little wire and foam to make the head stand up during Halloween, but we also took it out and just let him be silly in it. I'd wear this! The fabric is soft! Very comfy and arrived in time for Halloween! The seams on the feet came undone but already knew from reviews that it would be an issue; comfortable with patching it up myself. There is also a hole for your hands so I could still do things without having to take the whole top part off. Ignore the reviews complaining about size. They are true to size. The shark blanket is true to size. My son is 5 ft tall and the size Large fits him well. It is very soft and my son loves it. I only give it 3 stars because it's starting to tear around the mouth. I paid nearly $40 for this so it wasn't cheap. I'd expect it to hold for longer than 3 days. So I'm very disappointed in the product. ... show more

My girly girl who loves makeup tutorials also loves sharks. Why? No idea. But this costume is soft, is easy to clean (just throw it in the washer & dryer), and shows minimal signs of wear even over a year later. Not to mention, it’s just funny.
