Disappointed
Was defected. Kept saying to add water and what it did perk was cold.

Dispenser over flows
While this unit looks nice and is reasonably priced, the liquid measurements are WAY off. The 16 oz selection which should have filled a 16 oz mug overflowed severely by about 6 oz! So I measured… the 14 oz button dispenses about 17 oz. Still too much. The 12 oz button still fills the 16 o mug too full. The 8 oz button dispensed 14 oz into a measuring cup, because well I just had to know, and the 6 oz button dispenses 10 oz. So I’d say the reliability of this product is relatively low unless of course I got the lemon. ... show more

Great for tight space, not so great to serve more than two people
Not sure the value is there for the money. The pros are, the quality of the carafe, the compact size, and the versatility of K cup or traditional brew. I didn't notice any compatibility issues, noise issues or heating issues, which is also good. The cons are, the menu is a bit annoying and not as simple as it should be, the switch from K cup to traditional is also tedious and the clean up is more difficult than it should be. There are machines that do both types of brewing without having to swap parts, and for about the same price. They will be larger but changing the parts in the Shardor is annoying due to having to wait for the parts to cool, and the clean up is more messy than expected. See the picture attached. (Top of the basket right after a brew, it was obviously very hot as well) Even trying to brew two pots back to back is difficult due to how hot the basket is after a brew. This machine would be best suited for a single person or couple in a tight space. Fast swaps between types or brews is just not as convenient as other systems. ... show more

I like the ability to brew a fresh pot, a single cup or a K pod.
I love coffee. I like waking up in the morning and smelling fresh brewed coffee. With my breakfast in the morning or a slice of pie in the evening, I like my coffee. In the morning, I usually brew a pot, enough for everyone, but after dinner it is usually just me with a slice of pie and a cup of Java. The best thing I like about the SHARDOR Coffee machine. You can put in fresh ground coffee and brew a pot for everyone or a single cup for yourself. Just hit the cup size. If you don’t want to mess with the fresh ground, then just remove the coffee ground holder and use the single serving K pod adapter. I really like having the option of a single serving kPod with no cleanup. Come home from work, or just feel like a cup of fresh coffee anytime, this unit does it all. With a programmable time delay, you can set it and forget it. No, it’s not made by Ronco (Remember those commercials?). It is a very good looking and quality unit that looks great on your countertop. It has an extra hot option button. I checked the brew temperature at the standard setting and it was just slightly over 150°, which for me is plenty hot. It also has a Bold setting if you like a stronger tasting coffee. Initial set up, wash the reservoir, wash the coffee ground basket and kPod holder. Run the pod brew cycle with NO coffee or pod to clean the internal system. Don’t forget to raise the lid and remove the little orange cap and sticker first. I like it, I like the ability to brew a pot or a single serving and it appears to be a very quality coffee machine. ... show more

One Machine, Many Ways To Make Coffee, And Several Ways To Test Your Patience.
There is a lot to like here conceptually. SHARDOR has combined pod brewing, ground coffee, individual cup sizes, a 32-ounce thermal carafe, programmable brewing, a large removable reservoir, bold and hot settings, and an iced coffee mode into one relatively compact machine. The problem is that several of those ideas work better on the feature list than they do in daily use. The phrase "single serve" deserves some qualification. This machine can dispense considerably more than one ordinary cup, and accommodating that flexibility makes it physically larger than a true single-serve brewer. That is not necessarily bad, but buyers expecting a tiny K-Cup machine should look closely at the dimensions. The 95-ounce reservoir is convenient because frequent refilling is unnecessary, but its capacity also creates an interesting opportunity for human error. The reservoir holds almost three times what the carafe can accept. Selecting the wrong quantity while the carafe is underneath can therefore become a surprisingly effective countertop irrigation system. We found the safest low-tech solution for individual servings is to fill the intended drinking vessel with the desired amount of water, use that amount to supply the machine, and brew directly back into that vessel. The 32-ounce stainless thermal carafe is nicely made and eliminates the scorched-coffee problem associated with a warming plate. Unfortunately, thermal retention becomes less impressive as coffee leaves the carafe. The first serving is reasonably hot, but after a pour or two the reduced volume loses heat noticeably faster. Those of us who want coffee genuinely piping hot will probably find later servings drifting toward merely warm. Brew temperature itself is also somewhat restrained. The HOT setting helps, but this is not a machine that attacks the morning with molten coffee. Flavor is acceptable rather than memorable. Strong coffee introduces another limitation. Loading enough grounds to produce the strength we prefer can push the brewing basket toward its practical capacity, and overly ambitious loading risks grounds overflowing into the surrounding brew chamber. The Bold setting helps, but there is still a limit to how much intensity can be extracted without turning the upper compartment into a small coffee excavation site. Changing between pods and grounds requires swapping brewing components. It works, but it is not as seamless as machines with permanently integrated dual systems, particularly when the recently used parts are still hot and wet. On the positive side, the enormous reservoir is genuinely convenient, the controls are straightforward after a little familiarity, the machine supports an unusually broad range of serving sizes, the carafe feels substantial, and having pods, grounds, iced coffee, programmable brewing, and larger servings available from one machine is useful. For one or two moderate coffee drinkers, particularly those valuing flexibility over maximum temperature and industrial-strength extraction, the combination makes sense. PROS: • Brews both K-Cup pods and ground coffee • Wide range of individual brew quantities • 32-ounce stainless thermal carafe • Very large 95-ounce removable water reservoir • Bold, hot, iced, and programmable brewing options • Eliminates the need for separate pod and drip machines • Compact considering everything it attempts to do CONS: • Coffee is not as piping hot as we prefer • Carafe heat retention declines noticeably after coffee is poured out • Strong coffee can require enough grounds to risk basket overflow • Pod and ground brewing require swapping components • Large reservoir can supply far more water than the carafe can hold • Larger than a true single-serve brewer • Flavor is competent rather than remarkable ★★★☆☆ This is a decent deal at this price point there. ... show more

Versatile Coffee Maker
This dual brew coffee maker offers a thoughtful combination of flexibility and functionality, making it a strong option for households with varying coffee preferences. Its ability to switch between single serve and multi cup brewing is one of its most practical features, especially for those who alternate between quick individual cups and larger batches. In everyday use, the single serve option is ideal for busy mornings. Brewing a quick 10 ounce cup using a pod or ground coffee is straightforward and efficient, particularly when using a travel mug before heading out. The compatibility with both K Cup pods and grounds adds versatility, allowing users to switch between convenience and more customized flavor choices without needing separate machines. The 6 cup carafe mode is equally useful in shared settings. For example, brewing a full carafe for breakfast or when hosting guests feels seamless, and the thermal carafe does a solid job of maintaining heat without relying on a warming plate. This helps preserve the taste of the coffee over time rather than letting it develop a burnt flavor. The programmable feature enhances the daily routine by allowing coffee to be ready in advance. Setting it the night before means waking up to a freshly brewed pot, which is especially convenient for early schedules. In addition, the large 95 ounce water reservoir reduces the need for constant refilling, making it suitable for frequent use throughout the day. The iced coffee function is another practical addition. It works well for preparing chilled drinks without overly diluting the flavor, making it useful during warmer months or for those who prefer cold beverages. Overall, this coffee maker delivers a balanced mix of convenience, capacity, and customization. It adapts well to different routines, whether making a quick single cup or serving multiple people, making it a versatile addition to a variety of kitchen setups. ... show more

Convenient Dual-Brew Coffee Maker with Lots of Options
This dual-brew coffee maker is a convenient option for anyone who enjoys both drip coffee and single-serve brewing. I like that it works with both K-Cup pods and ground coffee, giving me flexibility depending on what I feel like drinking. The different brew sizes, strong brew option, and programmable features make it easy to customize my coffee. The 95oz removable water reservoir is a nice feature because I don’t have to constantly refill it, especially when making multiple cups. I also like having the option to brew a larger batch into the thermal carafe or make a single cup when I only need coffee for myself. The hot and iced coffee options add even more versatility. Overall, this is a good coffee maker with plenty of useful features and brewing options. I’m giving it 4 stars because while it works well and is convenient but the touch screen is not as effective as sometimes I have to press a button twice. ... show more
