A good dependable coffee maker may be the most important appliance in a home. When I open my bedroom door in the morning I want to smell the freshly brewed coffee aroma coming from the kitchen. I have spent well over $100 on the past couple and just wasn't satisfied, so I started a new search and found this inexpensive model from Shardor was exactly what I wanted. It is simple to use, easily programmable, stays hot for 2 hours but can be extended for another 2 by simply On/Off, and has a permanent filter. It makes 10 delicious cups of hot coffee and pours without dripping or leaving a trail. When you're making a pot, the reservoir is easily accessible to fill the water. I realize some of these features seem obvious but I've dealt with coffee makers that never get real hot, carafes that make a mess when you pour, can't turn Off/On, and have to distort your arm to pour the water in. I also like that the reservoir is enclosed rather than clear. Overall I found this Shardor Coffee Maker suited my needs perfectly and actually cost a fraction of what I expected to pay.

After 8 months the unit’s auto-shut-off stopped functioning. Also the unit takes 30+ minutes to cool down enough to touch or move it. It’s very strange. After turning the unit off, removing the carafe and unplugging it from the wall it’s still 30+ minutes for it to cool down. The product support link gives some basic steps but it doesn’t resolve malfunction. Going to try to reach manufacturer directly and Amazon customer service. Do not recommend, seems dangerous after only 8 months. EDIT: no response from manufacturer and difficult to reach live person at Amazon

Our old coffee maker pot broke so needed to replace the coffee maker as not able to get a replacement pot. We have this same coffee maker in our RV & really like it. We got this one for tge house. It has a nice wide enough area that is so easy to pour the water in it. The cone shape filter is nice & deep which I like as we use a paper filter inside the mesh filter. The paper filter fits better in this c. maker than any other I've ever had. The coffee pot lid is big enough it is easy to get your hand in to wash. I quit spending a lot of money on fancy coffee makers years ago. I've found the less expensive non name brand ones last much much longer. Plus, most importantly it makes a great cup of coffee. I also don't need 12 cups if coffee so like this is just a bit smaller than a 12 cup c. maker.

Love this coffee maker! I’ve had it for a few months now and it works like a charm. It’s extremely easy to use and easy to set the timer at night to brew in the morning before work and saves me so much time. It also stays on after brewing and keeps the coffee warm. Theres also an option for added strength (not sure if it makes a difference whether it’s on or off). For the price I couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Works like a coffee maker ought to. Every time we buy a new coffee maker - under use, some little niggling thing always shows up. This one has been great. Easy to fill the pot with water and pour it into the holding tank w/o spilling. Easy and intuitive to set the clock and timer. The sensor touch buttons are very sensitive, (as mentioned in several reviews) but they work very well. You do have to be aware of this, because you can change the time on the clock by accident. But, it’s quick and easy to reset - and you learn to be careful about not touching the buttons, when not necessary. Overall, it’s a great little machine ( we wanted something a little smaller than 12-14 cups, but 5 cup machines ate just too small). This one, like the story of the three bears - is JUST RIGHT. Sadly - 3 days before it’s 1 year birthday, the coffee maker died. It stays on ALL OF THE TIME. If it’s plugged in - it’s full on HOT and brewing. Also, the hotplate has rusted, a bit. I guess we’ll buy something else. It should have lasted at least a year. Changing the rating from 5 stars to 3.

Had this for 11 months, worked fine. Now even though it says it’s turning off, it doesn’t. It will literally stay hot for days if we don’t unplug it. Dangerous! DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE MAKER!! See other 1-star reviews. This is serious!
