I’d been thinking about ordering a single cup, coffee system for my in-home office for awhile. I can certainly go to our kitchen for myself when I need a cup of coffee, but I wanted my clients to have access to coffee or tea as well, and this coffee maker is great for the small beverage/snack bar I’ve created. I really like the sleek, compact design. Its water tank holds 40oz which means, that although this is a smaller unit than many I’ve seen, I’m still able to make a few cups without having to refill it each time. There are a variety of reusable pods that can be filled with a favorite coffee or tea, and even some additional flavorings or spices. It does recommend using distilled water but I’ll probably opt for purified instead. The touchscreen is easy to use and a “light” touch is recommended. There are detailed instructions and a troubleshooting guide which still didn’t help my husband as he struggled with water around the base before I saw the sticker on the well, reminding the user to pull the red silicone plug from the tank base before cleaning. After that it was completely leak free. My impression of the coffee maker is that it’s well made. It goes into “stand-by” mode between cups and it’s recommended that it should be unplugged when not in use. My husband enjoyed his first cup of coffee from it and I’m happy with it overall. Nice find!

The media could not be loaded. I haven’t used a k cup machine since I was in an office in 2018 that had a machine. I’m an espresso gal so that might explain my reluctance to join the single serve coffee pod wave that is now fully entrenched in the caffeine scene. This is a single serve (K cup style) coffee machine with some important differences. First, you can make more than one cup with the accessory pod that allows you to put in your own ground coffee for two or more cups. Secondly, the unit comes with four single serve pods that you can fill with your own ground coffee (medium grind is recommended) and even aromatics like vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, etc. There’s also the adapter for the ubiquitous store bought single serve coffee pods. Pros: the machine is relatively quiet and has an ample water reservoir. The above mentioned options for using your own ground coffee is another huge plus for flavor, variety, and savings. The slim profile of the coffee maker and simple but elegant design means it will be at home in all kitchens from studio apartment to a gourmet kitchen. I also appreciated how it could produce a cup with little lag (for multiple cups) or lead time when you plug it in to start up the machine. I liked the touchscreen that has an on /off button, brew, clean cycle, and ample cup size options. The screen became intuitive to use after a few tries. The directions were detailed and thoughtfully produced, with helpful graphics. I don’t have any negatives to speak of other than that I’m so committed to espresso that I can’t see it replacing my tried and true style of brewing. this might be what I use to serve guests at a dinner party, or bring it out for my sister who loves k cups. However, I can’t imagine a better choice for a versatile single serve and beyond coffee brewer.

This coffee maker is easy to use. You do not have to buy K-cups to make coffee with this machine. It comes with the proper accessories so that you can make a cup brew with your own coffee grounds. The instructions are clear and informative. The coffee maker is simple to use. Simply fill the reservoir with water. Plug the machine in, turn it on, select the size mug, and press "Brew" to start the process. I set the brewer to 10 oz, which is the default. I used 2 level tablespoons of coffee in the included brew basket. It made the coffee in about 3 minutes, and the volume of water, 10 oz, was spot on - it measured exactly that amount when brewing the coffee. The larger basket holds about 2 tablespoons of coffee, which is about 14 grams. There is a "MAX" fill indication inside the basket, and the 2 tablespoons fills to that amount. This coffee maker can brew up to 14 oz, but I don't know what good that is, seeing the basket can only hold enough coffee to make a 10 oz cup. There are baskets of the K-cup size that are used in the K-cup adapter. I filled that cup to the top with loose coffee and it weighed 11 grams. I made an 8 oz cup of coffee with this basket, which is the size of an average mug. The only thing I can say negative (and I think this is true of all these single cup makers) is that the coffee was a little weaker, and does not have as much depth of flavor as the coffee I make with my full-size coffee machine (I have an OXO Barista Brain, which makes excellent coffee). The full size coffee makers have a "steep" cycle which allows the coffee to "bloom", bringing out a fuller flavor. But it's unfair to compare this maker to a full size one. I would say I prefer using the K-cup style basket. It seemed to make a little more flavorful cup of coffee than the larger basket, but still not as flavorful as the full-size coffee maker. If you want the convenience of making a single cup of coffee, this maker should work for you.

Overall, I'm happy with this single serve 3 in 1 coffee machine. I got it because I have Kcups and I also like that it comes with adapters. I can brew ground coffee. I love that it has different ounces such as 6 ounce, 10 ounce 14 ounce, etc., allowing the options to select how much you want to drink. This is convenient as you only make as much as you need, and you can still make one cup for yourself, and one for your guest -- and both come out hot and fresh so there's no mess in terms of having to make a huge pot of coffee . I'm happy with the water capacity. It's fine for single serve coffee machine to me.
