I absolutely love this SHARDOR 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, Regular & Strong Brew Drip Coffee Machine! I was going through way too many K-Cups so I started looking for the "old -fashioned" drip coffee makers when I came across this one. It has everything you need to make a cup of coffee. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but what you do need it has: Reusable cone filter, makes ten cups of coffee, can change the brew strength even to make it stronger, auto-program so you can wake up to a fresh-brewed cup in the morning, no waiting, clock on the face, automatic shut off after two hours, scooper...I mean what more could you want or need?!! I ran a few cycles of straight water through as they suggested and I will say my first pot still tasted a little like plastic so I ran another pot of water and vinegar, problem solved. Coffee was delicious, piping hot cup of joe ready to go. Warming plate kept my coffee hot for the full two hours without making my coffee stale. I drink coffee all day, everyday so I love that I can make a pot and just keep refilling my cup as needed without going through a ton of K-Cups. I tried the recommended scoop per cup ratio but it was way too strong for my liking so I just adjusted using the included scoop. I use Green Mountain ground coffee, one scoop per 2 cups seems like the perfect blend. Was super easy to clean out the filter and love not having to worry about buying the paper filters anymore. Would recommend this to anyone, perfect for when company comes over too and you need more than one cup of coffee made at a time. At this price point (39.99 at time of posting this), you can't go wrong!

The media could not be loaded. It's a simple coffee maker, but it does all the basic stuff it needs to do. More importantly to me, it makes a decent cup of coffee. I don't care if my coffee pot floats magically around the house and serves me in a golden goblet – I care if it makes good coffee. This passed. It actually made significantly better coffee than a major brand-name coffee pot I bought and ended up just giving to Goodwill after three tries. The coffee I made with this was not bitter and didn't have that underlying baked plastic oily feel. Obviously it depends on your beans and how old they are, but it made a good pot of coffee. It isn't complicated. You want coffee? Fill the water tank in the back, put the coffee in the included reusable *conical* filter (which is probably why it makes better coffee) and push the on button. Ta-da. Let the brewing begin. Do you want stronger coffee? Push the "strength" button, too. See video. That's about all it does! The touchscreen is plenty sensitive. Please see video again. Note that when you start brewing the only indicator is a small red light under the on switch. No loud beeps, another plus in my book, although if you're used to relying on your coffee pot going "beep beep beep" when it's done brewing you'll have to adapt a little. It does turn itself off after two hours. (I think most of them do nowadays, after enough of us ruined our carafes by baking the coffee onto them.) And you can program it to come on when you want to, although the directions are a little oddly written. But they're comprehensible and it's the standard procedure. The carafe isn't huge. It's a standard 10 cup one and not made of super thick glass, but it's probably fairly easily replaced if you drop it. I admit I'm not going to drop this one on purpose to try to find out.

For the most part it does not look much different from most but it does stand out in some ways. First up it is a well designed unit and a good price. I do like the strong option especially if using a light or mild roast coffee. The touch screen is easy to read and use with no dual use buttons. The pours clean and the pause functions looks like others but words are better and no coffee ends up dripping onto the hot plate. Important to me is the fact that it fits cleanly under the cupboard allowing me to open them up. I generally do not like permanent filters and most leave a lot of sediment but this one is much better and leaves much less but I still prefer to use a paper filter to having to rinse and clean the mesh. In the end this SHARDOR coffee maker does everything I need or want, makes great coffee, easy to use and all at a very affordable price!

I have this exact same coffee pot and have been using it for a year now. It still works great. I needed a second pot and decided I liked this one well enough to get it again. First, the pot makes great coffee. It’s easy to use. It comes with a filter but we often add another disposable filter for easier clean up. The pot turns off by itself after two hours which is a feature we appreciate. We don’t use the program feature but we did test it out a couple of times. To program it start by pressing the program button, then put in the time and then hit the program button again. I feel comfortable giving this pot five stars because I’ve already been using the same one for a year and this one is working great too.
