This product's quality is incredibly high. The design and options are well thought out. I have a octagonal brick gazebo. The columns are brick and every other opening has the bricks angled. I was wondering how I was going to get this to hang correctly. The brackets come apart and it took less than a minute to reset the screws so the bracket will hang in almost any configuration. The colors go with the brick and makes it look like they were designed for my gazebo. The gazebo faces west into the setting sun and these screens coupled with a ceiling fan keeps it incredibly cool. We are in the south where summertime temps reach upper 90s and low 100s with 100% humidity. Highly recomended ... show more

We can now use our westward-exposed porch on summer afternoons. This is a great Roller Shade, particularly if installed where it will not see a lot of precipitation that might generate mildew. Mine won't. I hadn't noticed before buying, but the shade does not have a cover into which it rolls to protect it from the elements. Its a roll of shade cloth. That's all the caveats. Assembly was easy enough with a couple of glances at the instructions. A link is provided to an installation video that I didn't need or look at. The wheat color and fabric weight / density matches other shades we have from other manufacturers, some much more expensive. The gearbox seems sturdy and operates very smoothly. That's important. Note, if you want to move the crank to the left end (when viewed from the outside), or mount the unit hanging from a sill, it is very easy to unscrew and reorient the roller end brackets. The included bungees and clips secure the bottom of the shade to the structure, if desired. My installation required either buying a much more expensive custom length, or passing the 12x8 foot unit through a fascia that was in the way. I drilled a 3.5 inch hole in the intruding fascia as shown in the photo. Done. ... show more

Good quality shades for a fair price. Quick setup process. Comes with a template for hanging so the overall process took roughly 5 minutes to setup. I did convert the mount from screw and anchor setup to a bolt and nut setup and made my own 1/2in hole in the mount since I was mounting to a steel beam. Overall I would recommend this product for its quality, simple setup and cost. ... show more

UPDATE BELOW. I wasn't expecting such good quality from these, but I saw that I would be able to make stock sizes work for my project, and the reviews were very good, so I went for it. I am happy with this purchase. I was a little concerned about the spliced rods, but it's a non-issue. Just put in the little insert, tighten a couple screws, and it's good to go. The first one may take a bit to assemble, but if you get more than one, the second and subsequent ones go together in just a few minutes. They work smoothly, look great, and block a good bit of sun. I bought two, and they were so nice I bought two more for the sides of my porch. Since I bought several, and I quickly got tired of cranking the shades, I cut the handle off one of the cranks with bolt cutters, and stuck it in my drill. It works GREAT to quickly raise and lower. If you do it, just know it can leave a sharp end on the crank, so be careful. UPDATE. While all of the above is true about the stock sizes, I went ahead and ordered a custom size for my needs. It was expensive, but that's kind of to be expected, but the width was 1.5 to 2 inches narrower than I ordered. The rods and everything was the right size, the shade itself was a little short. I contacted the company, they asked for pictures, which I sent, and then I never heard from them again. Deducting two stars for less-than-stellar customer support. I am making this as an update, because Amzn won't let me write a review for JUST that specific order. ... show more
