I bought this for my son because we moved into a new house and we needed a better bed frame for him, sure it was simple to assemble, but the outcome was average. He tried sleeping on the bed and it was very uncomfortable because every time he moved it was move the supporting bars. This was really easy to assemble, and is pretty sturdy. I like the look of it. That being said, I think that the slats supporting the mattress are too thin and spaced too far apart. After about 5 months of use, my mattress seems to be sinking between the slats of the bed. I started getting a sore back which I have never really had from sleeping , and noticed the mattress sagging between the metal slats. I've since put wood over the metal slats to make more of a solid base, but wouldn't buy this frame again for myself. ... show more

While it was a little tricky to assemble, the finished product is a good buy. This will go well with a 10 inch foam mattress. I wouldn't go thinner. The bottom of the headboard sits high. I have 2 of these with 12 inch foam mattresses and for nearly 300 bucks I felt like the frame Will hold up to my 11 year old who can break things by looking at them. I wouldn't recommend this to one who moves a lot. It's sturdy as a stand alone, but I don't trust it to go from room to room. I'd "dry" assemble it first for fit and then use lock Tite on the screws. The first one was good enough to convince me to buy another for the other child. Neither are unhappy. And the darker neutral colors are pretty easy to match. ... show more

The color was a slightly different and it was more grunge metal than rustic, but it was easy to find matching items and we ended up rocking it for our beach house - great for the "kids" room - ended up being my favorite room of the house.

I bought these for my 15 and 8 year old sons who share a room and wanted to get rid of their bunk beds. The price and look was too good to pass up. The frame was straight forward to put together and nice and sturdy. The clearance under the bed makes for an excellent storage area. If there is anything negative it’s that someone is going to eventually smack their shin on the corner of the frame…other than that I highly recommend! ... show more

Love that I can now easily vacuum under the bed and my aging dog can easily jump up in it, and my other dog loves to sleep under without having to flatten himself and crawl to get under. I got a pretty new headboard! All 3 of us are happy!
