These lights are amazing high quality and power saver and cool different colors. The power cost of power is almost $1/year woooow. How to install: 1- Safety first-Turn the power off remove the old light and install the new one. 2- install the new light and make sure it's snug fit 3- Go to your phone and download the Meross app 4- create an account if you haven't already and then on the top home screen click on the + 5- swipe up until you find Smart Bulb Continue the steps until your light flashes for 3-6 times with different colors. 6- Congrats you are done! Disclaimer: I was sent these lights for free, to review as a product tester. That said, I have many smart bubs from various manufacturers. These require no hub, are fully color customizable, have a fantastic app, work great with Alexa and Google Home, and were far easier to set up than other bulbs. The max brightness is fine, but nothing to write home about on cold, dark, Northern evenings. The price on these things is a bargain compared to other brands. I'm definitely buying more of these. Update after several months: I'm still really loving these; they are great. They are plenty bright enough, and still going strong. So far, so good with these. I've had some bad luck with other brands, especially Feit Electric (those cheapies you can get at Costco) flickering or just not lasting. Time will tell if these last, but at the price, I'll be happy to get a year or two out of them. Have to say, these bulbs have turned out to be even brighter than expected -- especially in color. I have them installed in 4 can lights in my entryway, and they work perfectly. You first have to add them via the app, which isn't too difficult. From there, you can control each bulb independently using the Meross app (or Smart Life), and then group them into "scenes." I've so far set up a few scenes for these bulbs so far. During normal use, I've set them all to 100% with a warm tone, and at 9pm, they automatically dim by 50%, shutting off completely at 10pm -- all via simple actions easily scheduled in the app. I've also set up several color schemes that are now available at the press of a button -- like all purple for halloween, alternating red/green for xmas, etc. To my surprise, the purple color these bulbs throw out actually passes for black lights and have a similar fluorescent effect - very cool. Mine did not come with instructions, but the Meross app provided them all and they were easy to follow and installation was relatively straightforward. So far, the lights are working perfectly with my Google Assistant. Was essentially as easy as “plug and play" following the instructions in the Meross app These bulbs are very colorful and seem to actually be brighter than my smart Philips hue bulbs that I was using before. The bulbs work as intended and I am very happy with them as I can now have different colored lights on the front of my home for different seasons and can have a nice, soft yellow glow at night. I am able to use these with my Google assistant, which is a huge perk. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I installed this two pack of bulbs in my office where I've been working at home for the past six months or so. Installation was as easy as screwing in a light bulb ( I sense a how many people does it take to change a light bulb joke here...moving on). Setup was a breeze as well, just open up the Meross app, click the + sign at the top, select smart bulb and then follow the prompts through setup. I experienced zero issues setting up the bulb, which is something I cannot say for some other Mercury brand smart bulbs I own that can be a pain in the butt. These smart bulbs give you the ability to easily control not only the color of the bulb, but also the temperature (2700K to 6500K) of the bulb. There is a spinner will that gives you preset temperatures. This is important when I work in the office as I don't like the bright white / soft blue temperature (6500k) and prefer the warmer 2700K. I put the old bulb back in the other socket and then adjusted one of the smart bulbs to 2700K and I can not tell a difference between the warmth of the old bulb next to the Meross smart bulb set to 2700k. Needless to say, I really like this feature. Adjusting the colors of the bulbs are just as easy. There is a spinner wheel of colors to choose from. The colors change quickly; however they could be brighter. The one thing Meross needs to add is a way to match colors on multiple bulbs. Right now I set a shade of blue for bulb 1 and then have to get a close as possible on bulb 2 to get them to match. A way to pair the bulbs with the same color would be helpful. I really only have two minor cons. The first is that there is no preset scenes in the app that works with the color mode. Some other bulbs I have used give you the option to set scenes like a rave or Christmas or disco. Its not necessary, but I personally think it would be a cool feature to add. The second con really applies to every smart bulb that I have bought over the years, is that the lumens need to be higher. A higher lumen count would make the bulb brighter and it would really help when you use the bulb with a set color. Overall, I'm very happy with the bulbs and at this price for a two pack, its hard to beat. ... show more
