  • Great quality, sundown fanboy now!
Just got this amp hooked up to two kicker comp r 12s and boy do they sound good! This amp is amazing. The other amp I had made my headlights flash when the speakers hit hard and they didn’t sound all that great. With this amp, my headlights don’t flash (that I’ve noticed) and the subs hit hard and sound good. I still need to fine tune it but with a quick tune it’s a night and day difference. Long story short, buy this amp. Later, I plan to get better quality subwoofers to give me what I’m looking for but for now I’m happy. Nicest quality amp I’ve ever had and it’s small enough to fit under the back seat in my truck. I can’t rave enough about it, I’m so happy right now! Upon further listening I’m pretty sure one of my subs is blown. Udgrading soon #sendit ... show more

  • Very powerful
I was surprised at the small footprint of this amp and how much power that this amp actually puts out I have these set with two CT sound 10 inch subs and they sound wonderful I am pushing about 980 Watts.

  • DONT BUY, only lasted 1 year with about 52 hours of play time in 1 year.
LOVE IT got it pushing 2 skar d2 10s 40hrz but it does GET HOT, I will remove the bottom plate and cut out a mount for some high flow fans. The picture is not what amp you will get, The one that comes in does not have boost and cant find any pics of it online. removing the plate helped and the amp STAYED COLD with my fan >>>> WELP it was fun till if goes into protect mode without rca, you put in rcas it works on low you turn it up just a little BOOM protect and that is with 2 Sdr-10 D2 running 2ohms. the amp should of NEVER gave out for being a sundown product. >>>> not buying a 2nd one switced to skar rp 2000.1d amp and NEVER BEEN MORE HAPPY. ... show more

  • Definitely a must have.
Great little amp! Totally worth the value, definitely more than the rms advertised. Absolutely pushing at least 1500 watts of power. Low heat great power. Unsure as to why reviews say goes into protection mode, mine is good. Had to lower the voltage on my epicenter and was good.

  • Works good, but I think its over rated and is not making rated power.
Amp works and sounds good. This amp is rated for 850-watts RMS at 2 ohms. My sub is rated for 500-watts RMS. This amp should push my sub and still have head room. The Sub is a JL audio 12w3v3-2 and is in a built to spec ported box. (This is a $450 sub.) I bought this amp to replace an Alpine 500-watt mono block that sadly got wet do to a leak and the water killed it. That amp was an MRV-M500. Rated for 500 watts at 2 ohms. ($300 amp.) This amp while not bad at all and a good value for the price does not push this sub as hard as the Alpine did even though it's rated for 350-watts more RMS power. I have the Sub output level on my head unit at max like always. Everything else is the same parts. I have the amp gain set to about 90% and am not getting any clipping. I have the amps base knob installed and take it to max and 0 clipping, and no distortion either. But I also do not get the same output from the sub that I got with the Alpine amp. This amp feels and sounds more like I'm sending the sub around 300-watts than it does the 850-watts its ratted for at 2ohms. Maybe this amp shines at 1 ohm. I don't know as I have no way to test that. My old amp was only 2 ohm stable so I bought a 2 ohm sub. Ill run this thing for a while and then probably upgrade to something a little higher end. I was not expecting to need to replace my amp and decided to give this one a try since the price is good for the rated power. I'm not upset with it, but maybe a little disappointed. Was hoping for at least the same output I had before, or maybe a little more. But I ended up down about 20% from what I had before. Still a good amp for the money. And at 1 ohm it might be a beast. I just cant test that. ... show more

  • Best amp out of many I’ve gone through
I have this amplifier in my truck wired to a Rockford Fosgate 10 inch dual voice coil wired at 1 ohm and it hits hard Only downside is it’s vary sensitive to engine noise so on your vehicle aftermarket radio you need a dedicated ground wire to the battery or to a separate chassis/body ground with no other electronics grounded to the same point And if you attach it to your chassis/body make sure u take the paint off all the way to bare metal then put diode electric grease all over the connection and bare metal so it doesn’t corroded/rust ... show more
