Last week, I patched a small hole in my shirt in my bedroom and reached for this portable sewing machine. Once I snapped on the anti-slip expansion table, it felt much steadier, and the kit was impressively complete—16 spools of thread, 30 needles, scissors, a tape measure, and more. I started with the low-speed setting to fix the sleeve; the stitches came out even and never jammed. When I hit thicker fabric, I bumped it up to high speed, and it handled five layers of denim effortlessly thanks to the twin-thread design. It’s more than enough for everyday mending—really handy.

This sewing machine works if you are doing something really small, but I would really hate to use this on something that was larger. The machine is not terribly difficult to use and it does the things that a sewing machine should do! It came with a lot of accessories such as threads, bobbins, etc. One thing that I did notice about this machine is that it does not have a reverse function so that you can backstitch over your stitch when you reach the end. This seems odd and makes me wonder if your new stitch would simply pull back out as a result.
