This is an awesome sewing machine! I doubt it will fit the needs of a professional sewer or someone who sews a lot, but for the beginner or dabbler or someone who wants to be able to quickly hem their pants and fix a torn seam, this is perfect. It travels well, and it can work on batteries. I'm not sure how long the AA batteries will power it, but it's still a great feature if you can't be near a power outlet. The electric adaptor works well. The machine works. Decades ago, I used to sew on a professional quality, vintage Singer machine. This machine has all the same features, and works similarly. I was able to start using it quickly as old memories kicked in. Huge range of stitches, and the machine stitches them uniformly and cleanly. I didn't have problems with tangling. There is even a work light and a tiny drawer on the machine! It has everything I remember in a tiny package. The instruction booklet is clear and contains enough information to get you going. The machine is small and lightweight. This has advantages, but the one concern I would have is durability. A lot of the machine is clearly plastic, although I was happy to see that many of the parts that need the most strength, like the variety of sewing feet attachments and other moving parts are metal. The foot pedal seems to be the weakest element. It's small and lightweight plastic, so go gentle. This comes with a bunch of accessories. You just need to supply fabric, and you can get started right away. There are a bunch of bobbins in a variety of colors and coordinating spools of thread. It seems to be decent thread, strong and not shedding. There are extra needles -- and it seems to take a standard, easily obtainable needle. There is a sharp pair of small scissors, a basic needle threader, a tape measure, and an extra black and white spool and bobbin! Excellent machine that I am happy to have on hand.

For someone who grew up using a standard hard plastic Kenmore sewing machine from Sears, the lightweight plastic of this machine has me doubting its durability. The plastic seems like it would be very easily broken. The dimensions of the machine are also highly questionable for me. I’m a grown, adult woman and I can’t for the life of me imagine trying to use this machine for anything other than fixing a hem or replacing a button. In which case, what’s the point of having all of these decorative stitches? The machine is just way too small to use on a conventional level. The size is perfect for a young person who is interested in fashion design and construction, though, and would be a great gift idea. But for an adult, there’s just no way. Even the foot pedal is ridiculously tiny! Geezzz, my big toe is probably longer than the foot pedal! (Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but you get the point.) Overall, I would recommend this machine for a young beginner, but definitely NOT for the average sized adult.

This is a great, basic sewing machine. I bought it for my teen daughter, who is very short and wanted to learn to hem her own pants. It is perfect for a beginner sewer. It comes with everything you need to get started, offers a variety of stitches, and I love that it comes with pre-threaded bobbins. This sewing machine can be used either with the included AC adapter or with 4 AA batteries, which makes it great for travel. Or I guess it also makes it so that it can be used if the power goes out in the middle of a sewing project. My daughter had no issues figuring out how to use the machine after reading the manual, and I see her quickly working her way up from hemming her pants to other, more complicated projects. I would recommend this sewing machine to anyone looking to buy for a beginner, or anyone needing a basic, lightweight, portable sewing machine.

I like this small sewing machine for learning it comes with all kinds of accessories and things to start doing little projects or fixing torn cloths, it comes with a bunch of settings on the machine and for learning I think it is just perfect, I think is small enough to carry around and good enough for almost any fixing at home
