  • Easy to use
This product is easy to connect and easy to use. I would highly recommend this product.

  • App is garbage and only works with asian vehicles newer than 2008
Don't bother downloading the app. It's absolutely horrible. First they take you to a Chinese website and want you to download a shady .apk file directly from there - no direct link to the Google play store. Then when you run the app, they want your personal information like VIN#, Phone# and email address. You can't proceed without giving them that info (I entered bogus info). Who know what they plan on doing with that. The app is clunky, and super buggy. The vehicle model list is incomplete and is not alphabetically organized so you must scroll through the entire list to find your model (if it's even listed). Nothing worked right so I just deleted it. I ended up just using my Torque Pro app, which hands down the best OBD2 app. The adapter is super finicky with how far you must press into the OBD2 port. If any of the pins are slightly misaligned, it will disconnect from the app. I tested this on a 2013 Chevy, and it worked fine through the Torque app. I was able to monitor all the available data streams. However, I tried this on a 2003 Toyota, and it would not connect at all. Upon reviewing the product description again, it states it only compatible with asian vehicles that are newer than 2008 which is ridiculous since most of the OBD2 scan tools work on pretty much all vehicles newer than 1996. ... show more

  • Voltage works for few seconds then disconnects
Can’t say much about it other then it dosent really work. It will show voltage within couple seconds of starting car connects quick but disconnects and dosent actually read the computer. Tried about 30 times never worked plugged regular obd2 scanner in and worked fine so it’s this reader.

  • Spotty performance on older cars.
I'm very disappointed with the Setaweeh Car OBD2 scanner adapter. Despite knowing that some features might not work on my older car, I expected it to at least pick up the check engine light codes. To my dismay, it registered the older car as problem-free, while another scanner tool successfully identified four trouble codes. Although the scanner adapter seemed to work well on my new car, its failure on the older one raises concerns about its reliability and accuracy for future use. Downloading and linking the OBD2 scanner adapter with the app was fairly straightforward, but I encountered issues linking it to the older car. Despite the initial ease of setup, the difficulty in connecting to the older vehicle added to my disappointment with its overall performance. ... show more

  • Simple and cost effective way to keep tabs on your car’s health and diagnose problems
I’ve got a basic OBD scanner that’s been useful for diagnosing trouble codes but thought I’d try this to get some more comprehensive data and information. The setup was pretty simple- download the app and then register your vehicle info, then plug in the device to your OBD port and that’s it. I was able to easily scan the car and get real-time data streams of everything from fuel trims, intake temperature, throttle position and more. There are many diagnostic checks for various vehicle modules such as BCM, instrument clusters and others. I’m not a professional technician, but a hobbyist and do a lot of my own work so this is definitely going to be useful and I feel it’s a good value at the price. It’s going to live in my glovebox since my truck occasionally throws an oxygen sensor code and it will be nice to clear and diagnose while on the road. Of course, you could always just leave the unit plugged in and ready to go since it’s quite compact and not likely to be in the way. So what could be better? This is mainly an app issue but it would be great if it could collect and store data streams for later diagnosis. I did notice that the company has been responding to comments for improvements on the App Store so who knows, maybe they will add this functionality since other have suggested it ... show more

  • Not sure...
Firstly, the app requires quite a few permissions that I wasn't extremely comfortable with, so I blocked some and also did not create an account but used the guest login. It connected rather seamlessly, and it displays a lot of options about information. My car did not have any issues that I know of, no lights, no errors, and the app didn't display any of that either. I will say that the unit protrudes out enough to block my from putting my fuse panel cover back on, but, that's just for my car and I could always use the secondary OBD port I suppose. What I don't like..is that despite the overwhelming info in the app, it's not really clear to me what most of it is. So, like the detailed codes and data, I had to select Hyundai because KIA wasn't an option. It did...something...but didn't really give me more info than before. I don't even see a way to clear codes or reset/change anything either. There weren't any real instructions and I'm sure it might be useful to someone with a little more familiarity but for a basic user, it's perhaps not much more useful than a more basic OBD reader that you can buy at a retail store. Overall, I have mixed feelings, and the spelling errors and mistakes in the app make me not trust that all of the data is correct. ... show more

  • Product good, app ok
This OBD2 adapter is a powerful tool, and an excellent choice for car owners who want a feature-rich and user-friendly diagnostic tool. Its automatic connection, comprehensive features, and affordable price make it very appealing. Some of the things I don’t like about this product; the exclusive app is very intrusive with the amount of personal information it requires to install and use the app. It also requires location services be turned on and location permission required. This should be an optional permission to maybe use for some of the features, and not be required. Even when I have the permission setting on, I continuously get prompts to turn the location setting on. ... show more
