The curve of the back and arms of this chair as a single piece of material is the star. The supporting cast the legs. There is an improvement that could have been made and that is adding casters so that you could roll around on the floor. You will have to add felt floor protectors to ensure you do not scratch your hard surface floors. It was very easy to put the chair together it comes with extra bolts just in case you need them. It was easy to assemble with the help of my power screwdriver. The included allen wrench would have been enough to put it all together though. Instructions were easy to follow and I had the chair all put together in no time. It is very comfortable to sit on, the backrest with rattan is sturdy and easy on the back. The seat cushion is great to sit on for an extended period of time. I also feel safe when swiveling around while sitting down. The feet on the legs are easy to adjust to keep it leveled.     • A beautiful and nicely-made chair
I have another chair from this company that is 95% the same as this one, and I really like it. But I actually like this one just a tiny bit more. The way this one is designed in the seat makes it a little bit more open and slightly less restrictive than the other one I have, whose seat is made a little bit more like a child's highchair. Neither is super fat person friendly, but this one is a tiny bit moreso. I'm big, but not unfathomably so (6' and 250lbs), and I fit comfortably in these chairs. A couple Thanksgivings on top of this, though, and I wouldn't. So use your judgment, if this is a possible concern for you. The comfort level of this chair is medium, I would say. It's more about the utility and the look than the comfort, I think. It's quite firm and is probably not intended to be sat in for hours and hours at a stretch. The spread of the legs is a little close in for me. I wouldn't their being spaced out just another inch or two to give it a little bit more stability and a slightly lower CG, but this is being very nitpicky. The chair still feels stable, and the swivel feature is lovely (although the OCD in me needs to make sure that the legs are always properly aligned when the chair is pushed back under a desk. Yikes!) This is a fine actual piece of furniture, and I commend this company for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The prices are pretty high IMO, but I think it's worth it, or nearly so, in this case. This is furniture that is beautiful and should last a good long while. Because this is nice furniture, also, the assembly process just could not be easier. It's a joy to put together, a joy to look at, and a joy to sit in. ... show more
