The lamps have a touch-sensitive switch that lets you choose between three brightness levels or turn them off completely. In the evening, I like to keep them on the lowest setting to create a cozy ambiance. Another great feature is the two 5V, 2.1A USB ports on each lamp, which make it really convenient to charge my phone and tablet. When the box arrived, it was so tightly packed that I almost didn't expect to find two modest size lamps perfect for a bedside table. The trick was in the packaging and the fact that the shades come rolled up and must be attached to the supporting rings. The shades might be the only reason I gave this product four stars instead of five. They look OK but perhaps not as good as shades I've purchased in the past. The lamp is touch start and has three levels of light. The bulbs are included. The style is simple and will blend into any traditional or rustic decor. The table lamps are plenty bright enough for my bedside area. The table are are made froma breakable material so would handle with care.
