Replaced a yellow foam wavey mattress topper. This is very nice. 2" thick slab of "memory" foam. Fitted sheet over the top. Very different feel. Immediately sleeping better. I dont know about the claimed cooling property as it is winter. Squished out of the box and zipperd cloth tube. Give it 48hrs on a flat surface like a bed or the floor. It will fully expand. No noticeable odor. Bought another brand from here a while back. It was sticky and smelly right out of the box and it did not expand in 24hrs. Back it went. This is completely different. Arrived late in afternoon so waited until the next morning to open.. loved the packing..wrapped in plastic..in a blue Serta bag..in a box. Put it on the bed and no odor...expanded in about 20 minutes! Husband and I slept great...much less tossing and turning..less pressure on my sciatica back and leg pain..love that sinking in feeling ..like a comforting hug! Love it!! ... show more

This is quite a comfortable mattress pad! It doesn't retain heat as badly as other pads I've had in the past, and I even use a heating pad and it cools off pretty darn quickly considering memory foam is known for high heat retention. I've noticed an improvement in my sleep since getting this pad. The problem is it slides off the side of my bed every couple nights. I don't like wrinkles and my sheets are clipped tightly underneath the mattress, so it's been a real pain to take my fitted sheet off, slide the pad back into place, and remake my bed. My mattress is a pillow top but it doesn't have a glossy finish or anything, regular fabric. Anyway, if I can figure out how to keep it in place I'll give it 5 stars. To be completely fair to the pad itself, I constantly move in my sleep and I flip around a lot. It's got a lot going against it. ... show more
