It solved my and my partners sore back and neck. We bought an Ikea mattress that was supposed to be medium firm but it feels like is too hard. The topper solved the problem is soft and we been sleeping better. However the 4 star rating is due to the fact that after 2 weeks is already clumping and bunching in some sections so I assume I will have to replace it eventually. I hope not within the next year. Good price no smell. I paired it with the sheets that an adjust to weather (seasonal) and so far pretty good. ... show more

I purchased a different topper that did not work at all , my Brother purchased the Serta ThermaGel awhile back and said he liked it lot so I Bought one here on AMAZON! The delivery was supper quick, the package was great and the 3 inch topper is amazing just what I was looking for . It was under a hundred dollars but well worth it There are cheaper one's but like my dad used to say You pay for what you get . Anyway my sleep quality is much much better now. one thing I wish it had was a zip up cover I just put a mattress cover on before my sheets works great. Just remember you might need to get deep pocket sheets like I did. Remember to let topper rise for 24 hour's it does make a difference . ... ... show more

    • Good cooling mattress topper.
It expanded quickly. It is a little firm, but it does allow you to sink in, and then return to its normal shape. It does seem to reform well, and not get overly soft from use. I'm 6'2" and run warm. The room gets pretty warm in the summer time. With appropriate sheets and mattress protector, this mattress topper works wonders. If you run hot, it's not going to fix you. It does a great job of not turning into a furnace even if you do run warm. Making sure you don't use sheets and bedding that cause you to get extra warm will also make things even better. My better half likes it. It does take a moment for us to get comfy, as it is a little firm, but we both find it does make for a great night's sleep. She's 5'4" and runs cold. The mattress doesn't impact her sleeping temperature. I do recommend it. Mine was a smidgen small for a queen size, but barely noticeable. Just remember, if you're hot like a furnace, it's going to fix you. ... show more

    • No back support after a year or two
I’ve had this mattress for 3 years almost to the day. It was great at first. But once it started sinking it became hell for me. I wake up every single morning with stiffness in my hips, my back and pain in my rib area from sleeping on my side because once the mattress sinks in the middle there is no back support whatsoever. If u sleep on your side your body will be aggressively curved throughout the night and you will wake up with pain. At first I thought the pain was from my job. But now that I’m almost two years out from having worked there I now know the mattress was the actual culprit. I still have it but I ended up having to flip it over to the bottom side out of desperation just to get more support for my back until I can buy a new mattress. Also, for the record I’m 29 y.o and about 6’2 220 lbs so smaller individuals may or may not have the same issues. ... show more
