This LYONGTECH Release and Drop Device System for my DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone has been a lot of fun. It's incredibly easy to install and use, and the payload release function works flawlessly. I've been using it for small deliveries to my neighbors. I dropped a key to my neighbor down the street and dropped a US Postal misdelivered letter to another neighbor.     • Works well - short battery life..
I was pretty excited when this unit came up for review. I coupled this drop-device system with a Mavic 4 pro - the fit was pretty decent, there is a bit of play in the fitment - but nothing that affects flight. The landing skids on the unit are able to fold out or retract for storage as needed. The unit itself will "drop" the payload when you have set the auxiliary light on your RC controller and activate it. I have experienced some issues with carrying various items and the drone constantly thinking that it was close to the ground so make sure that you configure your settings accordingly as it will affect your flight. Thus unit itself will only take about an hour to charge, but just keep in mind that you will only have enough time for maybe five drops or so depending upon the amount of time it takes you to fly to your target. For the price point of this unit and if you are in the market for one - I would feel decent about taking a chance on it. My grading scale: 5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park, PERFECT BUY! 4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot. 3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised. 2 Stars = A little scary, but do your research and it may work out. 1 Stars = Avoid this product and look elsewhere. All of my reviews are based on actual use of the product. Got this for surf fishing to take my bait out beyond the waves farther than I can cast, carries a 4 oz weight with ease could probably go higher and the release is so simple, simple to use simple to attach built well in great range would definitely recommend
