I got this couch for $200, it sometimes gets marked up to $300 on Amazon. Like others said it’s not the sturdiest but it does have a solid wood frame. If assembled correctly it can hold a large amount of weight (me and others laying on it 500+ pounds). That being said kids cannot jump on this, you shouldn’t sit down with excessive force, and you probably wouldn’t want to do anything more than hugging a significant other on this as a bed. It is low to the ground but you can buy furniture risers for around $20 and they will be plenty to fix the short couch leg issue. A few notes on risers I currently use 3 inch ones and I’m 6 feet tall, the 3inch is acceptable but my legs are slightly elevated above the couch. Make sure if you get risers that you get risers enclosed with a border (something that prevents the couch legs from sliding off the riser) I got a set that accommodates any leg size because 2 edges had no border but the couch would fall off of them so get a border and you’ll be golden. To summarize this couch may be worth it if spending under $300, you get risers, and use reasonable judgement to not jump or sit to forcefully on it. Now a note to more well off individuals, if you’re looking for a rarely used office couch this is the one. If you’re looking for a primary living room couch don’t waste the $300 get something 600+ you deserve a sturdy couch and have the means to acquire one save up a couple extra hundreds and get one that will last. This couch will be fine for periodic use and for people that are stretched thin financially it’s a great choice and can be repaired if needed. Really what I’m trying to say is if circumstances restrict choice this is fine, if circumstances allow keep looking. ... show more

the box arrived damaged, and the item inside was visible from the outside, so i was a little worried. i got the fabric version, not the vegan leather version. after unboxing, i inspected the item and it looked fine. removed the parts and tool from inside the zipper pouch on the underneath. screwed on the back legs (angled) and the front legs (straight), and done! an allen wrench is provided, as well as all the necessary screws. super easy to assemble and equally comfortable. my only regret is that i didn't buy it when i first saw it for $97. but at $152, it was still a worthwhile purchase. may even get another one for a different property. one warning: the item is shipped in one large, flat box. if you're small, or old, or somehow physically disabled, you may need help carrying in and unboxing the item. have a box cutter handy for slicing the packing tape. ... show more

It's pretty low. I would have rated it five stars if it were at least 2 in taller at the seat. Currently the seating height is 13 in. Otherwise the proportions are pretty decent. I ordered a biege colored sofa despite a 40% markup on price compared to the lowest priced variant for a good reason. It looks pretty natural and decent in my living room. Also it's pretty light and has a clean look. I would suggest that they bring down the price for this version so that more people would enjoy the sofa. I would also like to add a special note of thanks to the manufacturer for the care they have taken to segregate the packaging. The unboxing experience was delightful except for the fact that I couldn't find a decent way to open the outer box and the sofa fell right on my shins above the ankle when opening the box. Maybe they could slightly improve the packaging in such a way that it doesn't become difficult to open without harming on self. Nevertheless I can see the care Serta have taken to pack the item to give the customer a lovely opening experience they deserve. ... show more

Great for naps, hanging out, etc. It's definitely not a 10/10 bed or a 10/10 couch, but it's a solid 7/10 in both categories, meaning if you need to save space, this is your product.

This is a very high quality piece. The only assembly is to screw in the legs, which is a HUGE bonus. It is very well constructed, and several people can sit on it. The mattress is quite firm, but lies very flat. I am 5'6' and can comfortably sleep on it, a taller person's feet might come close to, or over the edge so check measurements. It is a clean, classic looking piece. My order was canceled the first time, then the price had gone up (grrr) but I waited and it came back down, and was delivered early. I love it ... show more
