These are my early thoughts - I've just received the product this afternoon and wanted to answer some questions I had myself when I was looking at the listing. I hope this helps you! - Position: The chair back DOES stop at 90°(straight up), 45° (half down), and 180° (flat) and the footrest DOES operate separately allowing this to be configured as a chaise. - Slipcover: The arms are skirted slipcover style, but the fabric is not removable - Fabric: A woven taupe/greige with pretty light/dark variance - Width: One of the product images states "loveseat" but for this version that is incorrect. It's a larger chair, but more of a regular armchair than even a chair-and-a-half - Legs/Wheels: The included legs are short and barely visible once assembled, but they are a nice dark wood with rubber feet to protect flooring. The pull-out portion that rests beneath the seat is wheeled and easy to move. - Mechanics: This might be the best part. There is no recliner "handle", you simply click the back of the seat forward (it will be louder than you expect!) and then it can recline to the aforementioned angles. The footrest portion simply rolls forward and lifts with a handle, locking into place as you pull up. To put the footrest back, simply lift again and lower back into the bottom of the chair. - Assembly: Easy peasy. Four legs, screwed in. Adding the arms tool-free by sliding them into place on the base. I did it myself in under five minutes. The most annoying part of the set up was the box! Which brings me to... TIPS: - Heed the warning on the box and open it from the bottom! Pull out the throw pillow and then put the open portion on the ground and lift the box off. Assembly is a literal snap from there if you do. Have plenty of space for recycling the box, though, it's as large as I expected (but still fit through my standard size single front door no problem. - The gross weight is listed on the box as 144 lbs. It is sturdy enough to maneuver on your own by tilting and shimmying but you may need assistance if you're navigating more than a threshold. - My box was labeled "Haddington" instead of "Hawthorne", but the model number was the same and the chair is exactly as it appears in the listing. Early thoughts: This chair is STURDY. I flopped down onto it while fully extended in bed form not really giving it two thoughts and it didn't so much as tremble. It's got a woody "new furniture" smell that I find pleasant, no doubt owing to the hardwood frame. The cushions are firm and bouncy, in a league of their own, quality-wise. This chair is a great value from a brand I trust for comfort, and I can see it lasting us a good long while! ... show more

Now this was a heavy box, so luckily I was in the garage when the delivery guy showed up, so I just assembled out there! Followed the directions and it wasn’t bad to assemble at all, of course due to the weight my hubby did the hard work! 😂 The chair is super nice! 🤩 Solid hardwood frame with sturdy wooden legs for lasting durability. Not too low to the ground either, no struggle to get up! I love the feel of the tweed & the flax/grey color! It’s definitely larger than a single loveseat, which was a really nice surprise! I love the trundle style pull out design as well. Not hard to pull out, and it’s fairly comfortable in either position. It’s really a great addition to my guest bedroom for overnight guests! Matches my decor perfectly! Pricey but worth the money in my opinion. 👍🏽 😊 ... show more
