I am so happy with this purchase but. It quite as happy as our son!! For reference, he’s about 5’tall. We just got the couch today and put it together in about 15 minutes. It was super easy with one minor exception. There are slits cut into the bottom fabric of the 2 back pieces. The black brackets on the bottom pieces slide into these slots. After we figured that out it was smooth sailing! The legs screwed right into the couch, no problem! The couch came in one long box for the ottoman and one shorter, wider box for the couch. We have a small, narrow entrance but we were able to get it in our basement with just a little finagling. The couch is firm but not uncomfortably so. It feels like it will hold up over time. It’s medium gray with a bit of a sheen to the material. It says it’s liquid and stain “resistant”... I’m sure our son and his friends will test that out soon! ... show more

DO NOT BUY! Poor construction and Serta does not stand behind the one-year warranty. In fact it isn’t even made by them. Within the first month of receiving our sofa in August, we started having trouble opening the bottom drawer. We could not immediately determine the cause, but the couch also began to sag at the back of the seat. I discovered the cause Thanksgiving when I suddenly found myself sitting in a hole and it is due to a defect in materials. The seat support was made from a very knotty piece of pine, which had split along the knots and eventually broke. This is a Manufacturing defect as it should have been noticed by the construction crew and a non-damaged board substituted. I have enclosed pictures of the break, showing the bad board and the break. This has then caused the seat to press on the lift up section, which has now also cracked along its rear support. The Chaise piece is undamaged and I was seeking replacement of the loveseat section, which is supposedly covered by a one year warranty against manufacturing defects. There has been no unusual use of the couch which would have caused damage. Since I did not figure out what was wrong until 90 days had passed from purchase, Amazon directed me to Serta warranty services. Turns out this isn’t really a Serta product, but they license out their name to other manufacturers. Serta told me that since the sofas are manufactured under license that I must go directly to the manufacturer and gave me a phone number and e-mail for a company called Lifestyle Solutions. I have been unable to reach them by phone. They do not respond to voice mails or emails. I am mad as hell as this was an expensive item and the Serta name had reassured me that I could safely make this purchase online with the one-year Warranty. Do not buy this product unless you want to take a chance on it being a very expensive piece of abstract art for the living room. And don’t buy anything from Serta, they will let anyone slap their name on a product and then not provide support. ... show more

This couch looks and feels really nice. It is a little on the firm side but still comfortable for me to easily fall asleep in on after a long day of work. It is a little on the tricky side to assemble but totally doable. It is much easier to assemble with two people rather than one. I am actually pretty happy with the size. It is a small couch but it’s perfect for my small space and can easily fit three adults. For the price, I believe this couch is pretty amazing. Good couch. It came with a small tear in one of the arms, but the seller was kind enough to send a replacement. Pretty comfortable and functional for the price. I wouldn't sit on the pull out portion, though. I don't think it's meant to hold a person's full weight. Had it for about a month and it seems to be holding up pretty well. Love this sofa! I was very leery of buying such an expensive and big item over the internet. I cannot express how happy I am with this purchase. It came in 2 different boxes on 2 different trucks but on the same day. I had it shipped to my work. With that being said - once we got it home, we opened it in the garage and carried the pieces into the house. It took longer to unpack it then it did to put together. Very easy to put together - I would say less than 15 minutes. I put it in a spare room and have had guests sleep on it. I would say its closer to a double bed then a queen. However, I think if you took the back off it would qualify as a queen. Comfortable enough to watch TV on. However I did buy a cheap mattress topper to put on top when using it for a guest bed. Guest said it was very comfortable to sleep on. Would definitely buy again and would recommend! ... show more

I’m sitting on my new sofa made out into a bed with my grandson and watching Aristocats. My grandson was absolutely amazed when I pulled out the bottom to create the bed (he’s 2.5 years). Just for that alone I’m happy with this purchase! This was incredibly easy to put together. I sat aside 4-5 hours to set this up but my husband and I were done in 45 minutes. The fabric is sturdy and easy to clean pet hair off of. This arrived on time and in 2 giant boxes. The part that make into a bed is already put together. No tools needed! My only worry is (hopefully) temporary. This is a VERY firm couch/bed. I know couches tend to break down after a while and I’m hoping this is the case. I’ll be sleeping on it tonight with the adorable grandson but I’m not looking forward to it as it’s pretty darn firm. Again, hoping it will soften up over time.
