Memory foam mattresses can be so hit or miss. They can be too firm, too soft, too lumpy. When it comes to deciding on a bed what works for someone may not work for someone else. At least a lot of these companies have 100 night guarantees so you can decide if the mattress works well for you. Here is my experience. I've known and trusted the Serta brand for years, I always felt they make high quality, long lasting mattresses. I ordered this to replace a traditional Serta mattress and have another brand memory foam mattress I compared it to as well. Long story short, as soft and comfortable as this mattress is, I do believe you need to be on the smaller side to enjoy it; it falls more on the softer end of the spectrum in my opinion. I am 6ft 185lbs and did not find it as comfortable as my firmer 10 inch memory foam mattress. I do believe the extra inches helps when it comes to how far you sink in the mattress along with the firmness of the foam. My kids and wife were all good on the mattress since they barely sunk in. I even put a memory foam mattress topper on it and it helped, but for me, I think I prefer it to be a firmer thicker foam. I was surprised at the quality for the price point, my last Serta mattress cost just over a thousand, so to find one for half the price had me skeptical about quality or comfort, but Serta delivered an excellent overall mattress. ... show more

I didn't realize how much better I would sleep on this mattress! It's soft and conforms to the curves of my body, so I don't have to toss and turn to avoid weird angles. Super-comfortable!
