The shades fit my window, but I could have sized up half an inch to reduce gaps. I ended up having to use the wall mounts because the pressure screw was fully extended and couldn't exert enough pressure to keep such a large shade up. The mounts also were finicky and needed a bit of wiggling to make sure the shades didn't pop out. I think for larger applications, they should include a minimum of 3 mounts since each is so narrow.

I'm disappointed. I ordered the white blackout shades. They are definitely gray so I thought the wrong color had been sent. I contacted seller and was told that this is how they look due to how they are made. I wish the picture showed the actual color. Gray does not go with my decor and I cannot return these, so I will be buying white shades from a different company. I'm giving them three stars because: 1. They do block the light. 2. The order was arrived earlier than anticipated. 3. Customer service was quick to respond. What a waste of money.

After using another one of these on a traditional window, I decided to try one on a door window—and this installation was definitely a different experience. I would not describe the installation as taking only 20–30 seconds, particularly on a door. Getting the blind properly positioned, adjusting the tension, and making sure everything was secure and sitting correctly took some patience. A door window also presents its own challenges because you're working with a narrower, more confined frame and something that is regularly opened, closed, and moved. Once we got the fit and tension right, though, it felt secure and looked remarkably clean. The finished result is what really sold me. It replaced the makeshift curtain situation we had been using and immediately made the room look more polished and intentional. The honeycomb material provides privacy while still giving the door a much cleaner appearance than traditional metal blinds or a curtain hanging over the glass. The cordless design is especially practical here. There are no dangling cords to get caught when opening and closing the door, and the blind raises and lowers smoothly so I can control how much of the window is covered. The material feels substantial without being bulky, and the shade sits neatly within the window area. The sizing and fit were excellent once properly adjusted, and the overall quality is very good for the price. Installation may not be quite the blink-and-you're-done experience advertised—especially on a door window—but the fact that we could get such a clean, fitted result without drilling permanent holes made the extra fiddling worthwhile. It turned an awkwardly covered door window into something that actually looks like it belongs in the room. That alone was worth the effort. 💯

This shade arrives with everything you need for an inside or outside installation. Make sure to follow the measuring guidelines for your preferred installation to get the best blackout results. Installation is really simple for inside the window. If you look at pic #5, one end of the shade is similar to a shower curtain rod where you adjust the tension for a perfect fit. If you are doing an outside installation it is similar to other shades except easier. The part that you attach the shade to rotates over the shade locking it in place. It is something my husband pointed out that he really liked about this shade installation. The shade is really nice quality. If you look at pics #6 and #7 which were taken with light behind them, there is no light coming through the shade. The shade is easy to pull down and you just stop when you get to the bottom of the window. Any excess shade stays neatly tucked at the bottom. Overall, I think this shade is a great value. The shade is easy to install, blocks the light really well and seems to help block the heat when the sun is hitting the window. I haven’t been home to go feel the shade when the sun is actually hitting the window however the room has been cooler in the early evening than prior to installing the shade.

The blinds came ready to be used. There are two push in spring type brackets on the sides of the blinds that allow for quick and easy installation. Just measure your window inside frame, order that size, and viola! Your blinds are hung. You can also opt to install these blinds on the outside of the window via the supplied brackets. The blinds themselves are a softer material that looks and feels great. The honeycomb pattern does a good job of both blocking light and helps keep the temperature consistent. The blinds are made well and should hold up well over time despite the top being almost all plastic. Sometimes the plastic feels cheap, but the blinds are stable and holding, so only time will tell. The cordless design is also something that takes a minute to get used to, but is absolutely awesome once you get acclimated to not having a cord. It's actually easier and more convenient raising and lowering the blinds without a cord. It's much safer too if you have small children or pets that like to pull on the cord. Cordless blackout blinds are more expensive than your standard old school blinds but hold up well and offer a different aesthetic. The value comes in both the safety and features that most slatted plastic blinds can't offer. Overall well made blinds that look great, block out the light and heat / cold, and should hold up for years.
