This has a good capacity as we're currently using in our daughters bedroom which is approx 320sqft (even though states works up to 300sqft so bear that in mind). I love that this is both an air conditioner as well as a dehumidifier which is great value for money in our opinion. Its lightweight so its very easy to move into position and as its not a perminate fixture we do like having the option to move to other bedrooms, my husbands office if needed etc (although we've just purchased same model in black as we like it so much). Comes with a remote control making it very easy to operate without having to go to the unit itself. It is a fan so although there is some noise which you'd expect, we've found it to be very quiet and hasn't disrupted sleep.

I tried to trouble shoot and nothing is helping to get this AC down below 80 degrees. It worked SO well the first few days I got it. It was such a relief. And then I dont know what happened. I also find the mode lights hard to read and though there is a remote control, it does not tell you what mode you switch it to from bed. The remote control does not matter to me as much as the AC not working. This is the first time I am ever writing a negative review on a product. Im doing this because I also contacted customer service directly through there company over 24 hours ago and I have heard nothing back from them. Im nervous because it did work so well the first few days, I already threw away the box. I dont know how I can return. Writing a public comment because I want SereneLife to respond to me. I want an AC that works ASAP! Ugh, I hate to write a negative review but heat waves and no functioning AC is not awesome :(

This is a perfect size for our master bedroom which is the hottest room in the house. It was super easy to set up and use. It also has a dehumidifier which we need in WA with all the humidity. It doesn't take long to cool our room. We can adjust the temperature to what we need each night.

This 8000 btu air conditioner is perfect size for my bedroom. I love how quiet it runs, it isn’t much louder than running a fan. The temperature is adjustable, I was able to specify a set point and it runs just as much as needed to maintain that temperature. It does a good job of keeping up with the cooling load. Installation is really easy compared to a window mounted unit and I like how it doesn’t obstruct the view. Just a narrow panel expands to fit the width of the window and a hose is connected for the exhaust. The rest of the air conditioner sits on the floor by the window. It will work for almost any window. The air conditioner is pretty compact in size, which is nice. It looks nice and works great!

We bought this to cool our bedroom down at night without running AC at the temperature we like to sleep in. It worked great the first 2 nights but after that, it wouldn't regulate the temperature to what we set it to. (Stayed at 77 vs 68.) We went through the instruction manual (not very helpful) & updated any settings, turned off the dehumidfier, etc. It ran intermittantly when we tested it during the day at occasionally cooled to 68 but at night, the same issue. By the end of the first week, the fan didn't even turn on, let alone any type of cooling. Post-menopausal night sweats & this unit don't mix. We tossed the box so will pay UPS for packaging & go to our local box store to buy a better one.

My boyfriend just moved in and when his PC was turned on it would head up the bedroom to where I had to have my tower fan pointing directly at me and even then sometimes it was too warm. With our set up we thought it would be perfect to try a portable ac unit, and we were right! It fits perfectly in the spot we had available between his pc tower and my laptop and the vent to the window was very easy to install and conveniently placed for what we ended up doing. I velcroed the remote to the front of the unit so it wouldn’t get lost and since we have the unit on a shelf, we use the remove for the buttons instead of getting on our tiptoes to see the buttons on the top. The units a bit loud for the size of this bedroom, but my boyfriend streams and plays games with friends and the unit cannot be heard through his mic (also due to his settings and mic quality. I also use a headset for my computer, which is on the right, so we only have to turn it off if we want to watch something together so we can hear it better. We’ve both said it is definitely worth the money and now I don’t have to tote my tower fan because this room and where we sleep! I would 10/10 recommend!

I bought 2 of these for 2 bedrooms. One of them had been opened and 3 of the vent flaps or whatever you call them were not attached to the unit. I put them back on without too much trouble but annoying to deal with. These units blow cold air but 1 bedroom that's about 250 sq ft won't cool below 72-74 until sometime after midnight. Supposed to be for 300 sq ft but id say 200 if you don't want it to run constantly and like it colder. That being said, it keeps the room cool and will get to 75-76. One major disappointment is the description which says the unit is wifi but it's not. Doesn't mention in the title but it does in the description. Was really hoping to program the unit to come on at a certain time every day. It does have a timer you can set for the unit to power on in a certain number of hours, but you have to set it every day with the unit powered off. Set up was pretty easy but like with all portable ACs, you never know if the vent kit is going to fit. The whirlpool i bought has 2 vent slides, 1 long and 1 short. That's what they all need and also need to make the stationary piece that the hose fits on shorter. One major pro for this unit is it's 5 star energy efficiency rating! Hard to find on portable AC units! Overall, the unit does a good job if the room isn't too big and i would recommend if your room size is around 200 sq ft.
