This portable AC unit from serene life is amazing! Not only does it look great, but it's powerful! I had this AC unit in a space that's about 800 cubic ft (22.65m) at about 80f (26.66c) and this AC unit was able to cool the space down to 75 in about 30 minutes! Simply stellar performance! The AC unit arrived in very well protected packaging. Unboxing and connecting all the parts to one another and to the window took about 30 minutes. This AC unit is heavy! Thankfully it comes with castors to move it around more easily, of which I was successful in manuvering on carpet too. There are handles to lift it, but I think the handles are too shallow and needs to be deeper for better grip. the handles on the side though serviceable, I'd feel a bit anxious carrying this AC unit by these handles. Speaking of carrying, it's important to know that this AC unit uses refrigerant, of which if you ever tilt the unit more than 45 degrees you need to let unit rest on flat ground for more than 24 hours before using. I'm not sure why that's always the case, but must be a safety precaution. There's a condensation hose but it's not required. I'm not sure when exactly it's appropriate to use, perhaps on the days where it's most humid? There are instructions about storage which I think should be mentioned. To avoid smell and mold growth, you ought to let the AC unit run on fan mode to help the internals dry of condensation. Most of the condensation should escape through the exhaust, but some still sticks around. So at the end of summer, or after using several times, best to run the AC unit on fan mode to help keep it dry and condensation free. Here are some additional neutral-ish thoughts. This fan uses touch buttons. There's nothing mechanical about them, all digital. I'm not crazy about digital buttons and always op for physical when available. These digital buttons are about average quality and average responsiveness. Another thing to know is the vent that blows cold air opens and closes, similar to car headlights from the late 80s early 90s. They open up when the unit is on, closes up when off. Because it closes, I sense it could trap moisture and make the condensation somewhat worse off. On the otherhand when it's closed, it could protect the internal parts of the AC unit from spills, dust, and debris. Overall this AC unit is impressive. It cooled my space super fast, it looks absolutely beautiful, and it feels high quality. The AC is indeed heavy and on the pricier side, but I think it's beauty and performance makes up for it. ... show more

Very similar to a GE air conditioner I already had. My favorite thing about these types of air conditioners is that they can be moved pretty easily. These aren't huge thousands of dollars air units. These are made to use in smaller places like bedrooms or offices. They work great to cool off specific rooms. Not loud at all. I couldn't sleep without it anymore. Also really love the dehumidifier feature as I live in the southern US where we have swampy humidity a big portion of the year. Easy to install. Great quality. ... show more

Been using this in my office andnI love it. It is noisy, but thats just how it goes. Setup was pretty straight forward though screwing the plastic bits onto the hose was a little annoying. I do really like the wing nut and screw mechanism over the little plastic inserts for holding up the sliding window insert though. Haven't seen that before and feels so much better than the ones that have the little holes on the side to stick the plastic bit into. Goes down to 61 for the lowest temp and has three fan speeds. Can also dehumidifier, run as just a fan, or cool. It shows the room temp on the front, but when on cool, it shows the temp you set it to. Honestly wish the front screen would just show room temp at all times and the top screen showed the set temp. Minor nit pick. I like that the fan cover can go up and down and be set to one place as well, though feeling the air output, not sure that it does much unless its at one extreme or the other. All the air just feels like it goes straight up regardless where the guard is. Overall its a super well made and well running AC unit. Very happy with it and keeps my office with multiple computers comfortable. ... show more

This is great for cooling relatively small spaces. It has been ideal in my mom's external garage. It's a bit larger and taller than an average garage, but this did a fine job fmkeepinf the heat down in the summer. Its primarily used as a workshop so really needed something. This unit is a bit louder than. Expected. Iys not an issue for me being in a workshop, but I could see it being an annoyance if it were in my bedroom or livingroom. For the cost, I thi k id expect it to be a bit more robust and silent. Would recommend looking into some better options, but this will get the job done. ... show more

Works great. Our AC went out and I needed something to help cool down the house. We out this in our living room because that is where we are the most and so the dogs could stay cool as well. It was easy to set up, it came with everything for easy set up and use. I set it and let it run for a little bit and it cooled down quickly. I am happy with how well it has been working and I have not had any issues so far. Perfect portable air conditioner for my shop! I have a shop on my property that is about 450 sqft and this cools it down tremendously and fast, too. I love the remote and it's ability to be controlled from a distance of about 10 feet or more. This ac gets nice and cold. I love it! Just plug it in and go! Very durable, looks nice and sleek, and has a very low noise level. I don't use the vent kit as I don't really need it in here but it still works great! So our ac went out and living in Texas heat this was the worse timing during the summer and unfortunately we did not have the emergency fund to be able to replace a whole new unit. So in the meantime I ordered this compact portable AC. Super easy to set up and not noisy at all which is what I did worry about. Easy to take from one room to another and not stick with an open window. Couldn’t tell the ac wasn’t running in the living room since that’s where we kept it.
