Instead of walking 30 minutes, this scooter has wheels and speed to help me get to work faster. The assembly to fold and unfold is quick and easy to do within 1-2 minutes. The carry on strap makes it easier to carry on your shoulder when getting on the public transit - on the bus and/or on the train . This carry on strap makes it easier to remember, that you are carrying your scooter to your next destination with you. This scooter flexibility to fold to not take up too much space, makes it convenient to put at work next to your cubicle or your work desk. This scooter is light weight. The kick stand is sturdy. The height can be adjust up/down with 3 options. This scooter is a great convenience, to get from the public transit and to work, for a temporary situation. Used it for about a week now and I gotta say, this scooter feels super nice! The front shock-obsorber, in combination with the slightly thicker than average wheels make the riding experience really smooth! I can hardly feel the jolt those thin grooves on the sidewalk would give you on a traditional scooter. It also rides a lot more quiet than I was expecting... However, the brake started squeaking after a few days of use, but I put duct tape in between the deck and brake & it fixed that pretty quick! Handlebar clamp is top tier, and having a kickstand on this thing is perfect. I will say it is a bit difficult to engage the stand without having to bend over and do it by hand, but at least it's there. The brake light is pretty cool, and the battery is easy enough to replace, although I wish it were button operated and had a solid "always on" mode in addition to the blinking that happens when it detects motion. This kind of goes without saying, but don't expect to go places with this thing on grass. Dead grass and very solid dirt, maybe, but grass is a no go. Also, the brake can slow you down, but will not stop you. Keep those things in mind, and it's the best scooter you can buy for the $60 I paid for it. I bought two of these, for my wife and me both 75 years old. We're short (under 5' 6") and not heavy (140 lbs and 103 lbs). The machines are sturdy, easy to assemble, and ride well. Since we've never had scooters, even as kids, we were unsure about starting now. But our balance is decent and these seemed safer than the electric versions which go faster. We're at an age we don't want a fall. Our area neighborhood is relatively flat. Downtown is 1.5 miles away. We used to walk it daily with an additional 3-mile morning stroll but back issues have slowed us down. So far, we've just been getting used to them close to home in low-traffic areas. Hope to take them downtown next week. The one flaw is the flashing backlights. On one unit it works sometimes. On the other, it has never worked. ... show more

The kick stand was broken after the first use. I was so upset , it was a birthday present for my grand son and he was so upset. The metal on the kick stand was inadequate.
