Features

  • Fits 2005 - 2015 Honda Ridgeline 5' Bed (60")
  • When you need to load furniture or other large items in your bed, simply fold the F1 toward your cab and fasten the support struts
  • A water drainage system incorporated into the tonneau cover channels liquids off the F1 and into drainage tubes that exit through your bed, keeping your cargo safe and dry
  • You can install the F1 with a wrench and socket. No drilling is necessary
  • The panels on the F1 are made of fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP), a lightweight and heat-resistant material that is virtually dent proof

Description

The BAKFlip F1 tonneau cover has two main positions: Folded upright, giving you total access to your truck bed with rear window protection, and folded down, leaving you with a truck bed cover that locks into place to protect your cargo from both the weather and sticky-fingered bandits. But perhaps the most stand-out quality of the BAKFlip F1 truck bed cover is its ability to not just withstand, but excel in extreme work and weather conditions. You can leave the denting, cracking, warping, fading, rusting and corrosion to lesser tonneau covers, because this thing boasts a polymer top, leak-proof rubber seals and EPDM rubber hinges that are made to outlast your truck. They certainly won’t let you down the next time you need to haul cargo during a sudden downpour. The BAK team knows how to make quality products, and the BAKFlip F1 keeps up with its namesake with high-tech, bulletproof construction and a long list of design features. They started with a super-rigid EPS core and then sandwiched it between - or, rather, laminated it with - a fiberglass-reinforced polymer on top and an epoxy-coated aluminum on bottom. Ok, so it may not be "bulletproof." But, no would-be thieves are getting through that deck any time soon. When you add in the fact that the top of the cover can handle a load rating of 400 lbs, it makes the BAKFlip F1 35% stronger than its younger cousin, the BAK G2 - and puts it lightyears ahead of other truck bed covers on the market.

  • Great fit, easy install
Just installed this on my Ridgeline today and I'm impressed. The tolerances are precise, everything fits as if it were factory-installed (who knows, maybe better?) and the cover itself is solid. Installation was as simple as is promised - it took me 30 minutes only because I'm a mechanical dimwit and had to puzzle things out longer than a quick monkey might take. The manufacturer says installation should take ten minutes for someone who's installed one before and up to thirty minutes for first-timers. Budget a half hour and you'll almost certainly have time for a cup of coffee to celebrate an early completion. I would caution new owners on this one point: Honda uses two different-sized "Torx" bolts to fasten the rails and you will need a #40 and a #50 to remove them. The manufacturer tells you this but if, like me, you've never heard of a torx bolt, you may have difficulty locating a torx driver. The clerk at Home Depot had no more idea what one looked like than I did and was disinclined to end his personal phone call to help me look. I solved the problem by calling a builder/buddy and he not only knew what they are, he had a set of them - problem solved. (turns out they're just glorified allen wrenches, but you really can't do this without one - two, actually). Once those bolts are removed - just two on each side rail, it's a matter of a few minutes to pop the Bak rails on and snap the cover in place. So easy even a lawyer can do it. But again, it's the quality of this product that's so impressive. Fine fit, great strength and even good looking. Shipping was swift - they promised (Amazon promised, I guess) delivery in 6-8 days and it arrived in four - would have been earlier if a weekend hadn't intervened between ordering on Friday and receiving the shipment on Monday. Someone at quality control even made certain that every required bolt, screw and nut was included - it does set me off when a shipper omits a necessary part. So I recommend this product and its manufacturer in the strongest possible terms - just get hold of those g.d torx thingies before you begin. ... show more

  • Pretty Good but Overpriced
Fits and works pretty good and was relatively easy to install. Build quality is pretty good. Looks pretty good. Not hard to lift the back end of it enough to see what's in the bed. Obviously there are no security guarantees that come with it, but its not that hard to pry open to get something out if security is an issue. Better at keeping things out of the elements or flying out of the bed. Pricey for what it really is. ... show more

  • Not the correct fit for 1st Gen Ridgeline
3 month update: After being given a full-on insult of a response from BAK Customer Care, I decided this only deserves 1 star afterall. I uploaded an image that they believe shows no issue with the fit - note that you are seeing an INCH of clearance between the closed cover and the top of the tailgate. There is no option for security when someone can poke a screwdriver there and pop the latch in a matter of seconds. They mentioned that it only needs a shim to level the rails. Nice try. The rails were level when I installed, but became bent due to the misfitting design. My recommendation: DO NOT BUY THIS FOR THE 1ST GEN HONDA RIDGELINE. First, its a great cover in general. I received last month and installed. The ease of use is great, and if installed very carefully it is close to a waterproof closure. However, this model, 772601, is supposed to fit the ridgeline, but the rear latch is mounted in the wrong place so that it can't close correctly. Its also missing the correct type of rear weather seal for the tailgate. I watched a video about it on etrailer from a couple years ago, and noticed a different placement for the latch in that version, making it accurate fit. I checked and verified I got the correct model shipped, so it appears that Bak might be building these wrong now. Since I have installed it and tossed the box, and also didn't get it from Bak directly, return/replacement won't be fun. I will probably modify mine to work. Might be able to move the latch assembly, breaking some rivets to do so, but it needs to close completely to be theft-proof. Currently mine is not. ... show more
