I set this up during one of those sticky days where the air feels like soup and I was getting grumpy about it. Filled the tank, tossed the ice packs in, and figured I would see what happens. Within a bit the air around my chair felt cooler and fresher, not that dry blast you get from some fans. I started dragging it from the living room to the bedroom depending on where I was hiding from the heat. The remote ended up being my favorite part because I am lazy once I get comfortable. I can be under a blanket watching a show and still change the speed. It runs quiet enough that I sleep with it on and it just sounds like soft airflow in the background. My boyfriend even commented that the room felt nicer without the loud AC kicking on and off. Refilling is simple and not messy, which matters because I do not have patience for complicated gadgets. It is become my go to when the house feels warm but I do not want the big electric bill from running central air all day.     • Runs quiet so ideal for bedrooms
This is a very effective air cooler which works by having a cold water tank reservoir in the base and also a water tank in the top. It includes 4 ice blocks which are reusable and you simply freeze before use. This allows you to use cold water and keep it colder for longer so that the tower uses less power to create cooling air. It’s very quiet when running so ideal for using in bedrooms and the tower can both be stationary or oscillating in your room as has a 60 degree angle of coverage so like that it has this feature as prefer to have stationary when using in bedroom but moving when using in our living room during the day. It does have washable filters which have been very useful as we have two dogs and two cats and didn’t appreciate quite how much dander etc we have in our air so it does a great job of filtering and giving ‘clean’ air. It also comes with a remote so although the main panel on the unit itself is easy to set up I do like being able to change it without having to get up unnecessarily. Fantastic quality and we really feel the different so would recommend to others looking for an alternative to a full blown air conditioning unit. ... show more

I use it in my office, and it's perfect. It gets up to 86 degrees in my office by the window, but this guy keeps it right around 70-72 degrees at my desk. The top loading option is great due to where I have mine situated in my office. The remote control is also great because of where I keep the unit.
