This one showed up fast, and I had it up and running in under 30 minutes—even with zero experience setting up a window kit. The instructions were clear, the pieces actually fit my odd-sized window, and I didn’t need to wrestle anything into place. I’ve used every mode on this thing at this point. Cooling, obviously, was my first priority—and it chilled my entire living room and half the kitchen in under 20 minutes. But then the humidity kicked in and I switched to dehumidifier mode, and wow. The air just felt lighter. I’m already looking forward to using the heat setting once winter hits because if it works half as well as the AC, I’ll be set. This portable air conditioner is so easy to use. I set this up in my workshop to keep the space cool while I’m in there. It can install in pretty much any window, even those tiny raised ones in garages, which is why I got it. The main unit sits on the floor and there is an expandable insert that will fit most windows, which connects to the unit’s warm air exhaust by a large, flexible hose. So simple to use compared to window units. I don’t have to worry about damage to the window, or finding a way to make a heavy unit like that secure. Anyhow, I don’t use the space all the time so I mostly just run this while I’m in there. I’m impressed by how quickly it cools off the space. It’s a good size unit for a garage and makes the area so much more enjoyable to use in the summer months. When I have friends over to work or hang out, we can actually be comfortable finally. Got an "Ft" error right out of the box meaning the drip pan needed to be drained even though it was never run before. Called the customer support number and it was "disconnected". I emailed them as well and never received a response. These were both huge red flags, so I decided to return instead of replacing the item. Overall it drops my living room (14x14) a few degrees cooler than outside. Based on minimum size per the manual is 3mx3m I was expecting a lot more. If your in 90-95+ degree weather and want something to drop down to 72 or below, this is not what you are looking for.
