Perfect, this replaced a ceiling fan in the dining room. I had looked for sometime (months), big box and lighting stores. After putting in several searches including “crystal chandeliers“ on Amazon I found this. It was packed really well, nothing broken, love the replacement pieces they included. An electrician installed it, he had no problem, neither one of us are that handy. I tilted the branches at an angle to catch more light. The only challenge I had was deciding which type of light bulb to use, the style and color make a big difference in how the lighting reflects on the crystal, I decided on the vintage swirl edition daylight. Solid 5 rating for looks.I had a couple of round crystals and added them, decided I needed more…If you love this light put in a search for “crystals for chandeliers”. Much to my dismay I just found this exact same light at almost half the price during my search for additional crystals . So value on this is a solid 1…I realize the other product may have been added to the selection after my purchase but wow, had I not already had this light installed I would return it to purchase the other one. I recently decide that we needed to remove the ceiling fan in our bedroom and replace it with something smaller and more interesting. So I chose this really cool "French Bordello" light fixture. Nothing like keeping the romance going with a little nifty decor. The fixture came wrapped so well it could have likely survived a fall from the Empire State Building. It took about as long to unwrap the individual pieces as it did to assemble the fixture. Each "limb" on this fixture came uninstalled. They were also very generous with the hardware. Not only were there plenty of extra nuts and washers but there were also extra glass gems and extra pins to hold them in if needed. There was also a wrench to help with the work. Assembly of the whole fixture took me about 25 minutes. I didn't choose standard candelabra bulbs. Instead, I when with tube-shaped LED Edison bulbs from Hudson. These are 4 watt (40W equivalent) in 3000K warm white. Each one is about 400 lumens. Once assembled, this fixture is pretty striking to look at. The only modification I made was to add a fender washer behind the nut on the base that attaches to the ceiling. This may help spread out the weight and keep the base from deforming. Some have claimed this new light fixture doesn't line up right with the boxes. But the real issue is that the fixture and its hardware are all metric while the fixture boxes in most US homes are SAE. To remedy this, I drilled the threads out of the two corner holes on the provided mounting bar and attached it to the bottom of the box. This way, I didn't have to modify my fixture box while still having the metric mounting screws in the right locations. I REALLY like this new light fixture! ... show more

Pros: great looking light, flush mount, but nice and wide to fill the ceiling, real glass/crystal, distressed paint finish, five bulbs, dimmable lights. Comes with a white glove to handle crystals. Comes with extra crystals in case you break some. Bend the smaller branches like you would a Christmas tree to create some dimension, just be careful bending the metal.!! Cons: Pretty hard to install as the instructions are missing steps, wrong steps, or extra unneeded steps. Definitely use it as a guide and be smart about install. If you find IKEA instructions confusing, don’t do this on your own. Had to put a spacer on the mount, the screws were not long enough to attach the base. Lots of extra pieces left depending on your install. Did not come with light bulbs the candelabra kind with the small screw base. I attached the branches after I installed the base to ceiling. I’m glad I did as it would have been really hard to reach in to connect the wires. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Delivery was amazingly fast and very well packaged. I ordered the large size that requires 5 light bulbs and in the color black. We bought light bulbs earlier in the day when it was delivered so we were well prepared. It takes a while to hang up as some have mentioned the fixture’s bracket mount takes time to hang up as it doesn’t flush perfectly into the ceiling. The arms don’t bend easily so I decided not to push my luck should it break. Love the design and how the light reflects off the crystals. We use a dimmer switch from a previous light so this fixture works perfectly. It is very well made and very versatile in that you can install it in just about any room. I have a medieval themed dining area and this light compliments it perfectly! We are very happy with the quality and price of this light fixture. This light mounts close to your ceiling. It is a step up from the typical dome flush mounted ceiling fixtures typically found in the bedroom. I think this would work nicely in a large hallway or bath also. The seller shipped quickly. The item arrived packaged well with no damage. In this bedroom the light was installed on a dimmer. It is bright, but the room will need some additional lighting as well. The light adds a touch of elegance. The crystals are glass. Great value. I will order more of these in the future. ... show more

This light is in my kitchen above the table. I love it soooo much. It provides the necessary lighting with additional brightness from the crystals. It dresses up an area that normally has a hanging light but I wanted something different. It’s different and beautiful!
